-Parker
“Dude, this party is going to be huge!”
I looked at Carter with a grin on my face, “Hell yeah it is.”
Carter and I sat on the campus lawn checking out the girls that walked by while we ate our lunch. The campus was busy with college students either scrabbling around to get to their next class or just sitting around enjoying the warm L.A. weather. A group of good-looking girls walked by and waved to Cater and I.
“Hey Parker. Hey Carter,” she smiled at us showing off her perfect teeth.
“What’s up Nikki,” I said.
“So you guys are going to that big party tonight, right?” Nikki asked while she twirled a strand of her long auburn hair.
“Nikki, we are the party,” Carter punched me in the shoulder jokingly.
Nikki and her posy all giggled, “Great. I’ll see ya there,” she glanced at me and smiled again before she and the other barbies walked away.
Carter turned and looked at me grinning, “She totally wants you, man.”
I glared at him, “Shut up, Carter.”
“Shut up!? Dude, Nikki is one of the hottest girls on campus and she clearly has the hot’s for you. If you are not interested in her at all you are either, A. A complete dumbass B. Blind, or C. A complete dumbass!”
I sighed, “Carter, there is more to girls then just looks.”
He stared at me blankly. “Like what?”
“Like their personality and interests.”
He still gave me a blank look. I laughed, “Never mind. Its just Nikki isn’t really my type. She gets around more than you do, if that’s even possible. I’m going to be 23 here soon and I want to start looking for a girl that I could possibly have a relationship with.”
Carter placed his hand on my shoulder and gave me a sad look, “My best friend is becoming a pansy.”
I shoved his hand off my shoulder and we both laughed, “No, I’m just not a player, like you.”
“Hey now! Nothing wrong with wanting to have a little fun with many different girls.”
I shook my. Carter and I had been best friends since middle school. He has been with me through it all. We had totally different views when it came to women. I had always been the one who dated while Carter was the one with a different girl by his side, daily. But I loved Carter, he was the brother I never had.
We both wondered what would happen when it came time for college, but it ended up working out great. He and I both got scholarships to play football here at UCLA, but I didn’t take it. Instead I am here studying to become a doctor, just like my dad wanted. And I wanted, I guess.
“Okay here’s the deal, Parker. We go to this party, we have a fucking great time, meet some ladies, and just have fun! I know you’re getting busy with all your doctor crap, but lets just have one more night of hell razin’! Then you can go live your happy doctor life with your PHD, wife, and 8 children.”
I chuckled, “Alright, let’s raze some hell.”
“EVERYBODY! SHOT, SHOT, SHOTS, SHOTS!” I yelled the song lyrics as I jumped up and down along with everyone else at the party.
The beer in my hand sloshed around, spilling onto the floor but I didn’t even care. I had already had plenty of alcohol and now I was happily drunk. I couldn’t remember the last time I had had so much fun at a party. I didn’t even know who’s party it was, but damn they sure knew how to throw them.
