The Art of Being Thorough

"You would know all about being green wouldn't you Brainiac 5!"

"Supergirl," laughed Brainy.

The video stills on the image of her and Brainy awkwardly smiling while giving the camera a thumbs up, leaving Kara looking on with horror at the PSA she and Brainy made together..

"Ugh, that's even worse than I thought! I cannot believe l let you talk me into doing that!"

"Nonsense! That PSA is pitch perfect! I mean sure your hair looks a little weird, but no one is going to notice that!"

Kara groaned once more in horror, banging her head against the TV careful not to break the screen. This had all been Brainy's idea, "It's good for the kids" he had said. "It'll help with Andrea!" he had said. He had a point. Kids would listen to anything the superfriends told them to do, and an exclusive PSA from them would help keep Andrea at bay for at least a little while. Still, it was cheesy and horrifying and she HATED it.

Being so caught up in the embarrassment, she almost missed the sound of a familiar heartbeat coming into the tower. ALMOST.

"I leave for 2 weeks to go find out about my birth mother and you start doing cheesy PSAs," Said Lena with a teasing laugh. "Kara, you really should start thinking things through more thoroughly."

Kara spun around, nearly knocking the TV over in the process, and couldn't control herself. Lena was standing there looking just as beautiful as she'd always been, but so much more at peace. Without thought, she used her superspeed to cross the room, taking Lena into her arms before leaning her back for a passionate kiss. The two had established their feelings for each other before Lena's departure for Ireland, albeit over the phone. Lena knew that she wouldn't be able to leave if she tried to tell her goodbye in person, so the phone call had been the best option. Her only regret was not being able to kiss Kara goodbye, especially after her confession that she'd been in love with her for a long time. " I'd much rather kiss you hello," was what Kara had told her, and now she was making good on that promise.

"I have thought about doing that since the day we met. Is that thorough enough?"

Lena struggled momentarily to find words having just been kissed by the woman she's had more than her fair share of dirty dreams about.

"How about we take this somewhere more private and we can see if we can be a bit more thorough together."

Without hesitation, Kara lifted Lena into her arms and flew them from the tower in the direction of Kara's loft, leaving a very traumatized Brainy behind.
