A wave of sensation swept over Anvika as she shook hands with Adhiraj. His piercing gaze and commanding presence were overwhelming. It seemed as though he was absorbing her very essence, which in fact, he was. Each of her movements fell under his meticulous scrutiny.

"Adhiraj Agnihotri, CEO of Agnihotri Group of Companies. Finish it, Sid," Myra stated, taking a sip of her red wine. Siddharth simply shook his head.

Anvika nodded her head at her and looked at Myra," I know him too, saw him in some of the business magazines."

"Glad to hear that." Adhiraj's mysterious aura and discreet statement left her in a state of frenzy. His low velvety tone did wonders to her stomach that plummeted to the depths.

He smirked and continued looking at her which was now pissing her off. She thought at first it was because he saw her for the first time but now, he is looking at her as if she is the only woman he ever saw. He was making her nervous, and she loathed that feeling.

To ease the environment, she decided to order, to which everyone agreed. They ordered and waited for the food to arrive. It was a Michelin restaurant that served Indian food as one of its specialties. The waiter came and asked if she wanted any drink to which Anvika politely declined.

"You don't drink?" Asked Jenny.

"Doesn't fancy me." Anvika shrugged.

"I can say the same about our Adhiraj. Drinks don't fancy him either." Siddharth interjected with a smug expression lining his features after he noticed Adhiraj's attention solely focused on his fiancé's best friend.

Others may have disregarded it, but Adhiraj said, "I love how we have such similarities, Anvi." The way her name rolled off his tongue made her feel peculiar.

“The restaurant Doñas de fuera would have been better, don't you think? It's rather boring here, the ambience, food and even the company." Myra stated while rubbing her palm on Adhiraj's shoulder.

"You know we live in the 21st century, people are masters of their own will, one can leave if they find it tiring or precisely boring.”  Dia retorted sipping on her wine.

She was visibly upset with Siddharth for allowing Myra to join them, but he was helpless as she always clings to Adhiraj, who, in turn, didn't object because he is indifferent. Accustomed to the attention his looks, power, and wealth attract, he is unfazed by such situations. He had earnestly requested Adhiraj to come along, who consented but also brought Myra, anticipating boredom and an early departure. However, with Anvika's arrival, it's clear he won't be leaving any time soon. Dia shot Siddharth a glare, to which he responded with beseeching eyes, and she returned a look that promised retribution once they were alone.

Anvika lightly slapped Dia's arm and said with a rather forced smile. "In case you're not aware, Rock Mount offers 15 different cuisines, and besides Indian, Italian is also its specialty. If you'd like, you can order for yourself. Didn't you look at the menu?"

Myra glanced at her with annoyance, then flipped through the menu, asking Adhiraj for suggestions, which he blatantly ignored, continuing his gaze at Anvika. He sipped water from his glass as if it were the most exquisite drink he had ever tasted, with such elegance, and allure. Anvika looked away again, ignoring him as she had been, but not before giving him a small smile to avoid seeming rude, which he acknowledged with a smirk and nod. Anvika was seated next to Dia, who was situated between Anvika and Siddharth. Daniel and Jenny were seated together, while Adhiraj and Myra sat in front of Anvika.

As everyone began talking with each other. Anvika held Dia's arm and pulled her towards herself. She whispered in her ear with a huge smile on her face as if she was talking about something jocular.

"We need to talk to Ms. Sahni, so these famous personalities are your friend's owner of the Huddleston art gallery, then the spoiled brat of Simpson and this billionaire. You didn't even bother to give me a heads up. All of them belong to the most sensational side of social media. Listen, if you won't keep your calm with this Myra and explode because of her arrogant attitude and create a scene over here or do anything which makes us the center of attention. I will kill you myself, I swear." threatened Anvika pulling away and began talking with Jenny.

Dia just gulped and looked away. She needed to maintain her cool with this Simpson after all it was about her life.

She pulled Anvika again and asked, " How are you tolerating this brat, I want to pull all her hair out."

"Just ignore her cause I know you won't answer her smartly in a calm manner but sarcastically. So, if your life is-

"Yes, yes, my life is dear to me. I am not even married yet, just engaged. God! Stop threatening me." Anvika just shook her head at her friend's dramatic ass.

Soon, their food arrived, and they began eating.

" So, Anvi, what do you do for a living? Well Dia told us you work with her but not elaborated it." Asked Daniel.

Anvika said, " I work at the Royal Jade Museum as an archaeologist. I specialize in Indian and Russian history.”

"So, just an employee with no higher post. Listen Anvi, I know Dia is your best friend so she being the President of such an eminent museum must have offered you a job pitying you, but you should work on your own." Said Myra with arrogance and mocking laced in her voice. Anvika was taken by surprise at her audacity; she couldn't possibly find out the reason for Myra's hatred towards her during their first meeting.

Everyone looked at Myra with a disappointed look except Adhiraj who tightened his knuckles.

"Says the one who tails behind her parents to get in the movies." Said Daniel looking sideways and drinking his wine.

"You- before Dia could reply to Myra, Anvika interrupted.

" I guess you need to gather more information. It's good you know about the museum Myra, but you should be aware of the fact that each and every employee is appointed by proper interview and educational qualifications not because of sources. So, my advice to you is think before you speak and if you don't know then better keep quiet." Anvika finished with a befitting reply, her aura poised, elegant and confident.

Myra's fury was already kindled by Adhiraj's incessant gazing at Anvika, and her retort only intensified the blaze.

"Who do you think you are?" Myra demanded, rising from her seat.

She threw her plate on the floor and was about to verbalize her hatred again but her face was washed over with wine she was drinking previously that Dia threw right at her face. The ongoing drama easily gained attention  knowing that she was the scandalous daughter of the Simpsons.
