Chapter 1

Beep.beep.beep.
I slam my hand on the stupid alarm and sigh. I got up and change into a plaid shirt with ripped jeans and converse. I went downstairs quietly and quickly trying to not wake up my abusive dad. When I got close to the door, I ran out of the house. I started to walk to school or what I call is hell hole. when I got there I saw my friends chatting' up the storm. "hey guys" they all said hey or what's up, and gave me hugs. the one that was the longest was Luqas' and I. We all chatted until the bell rang.
~lunch time~
Luqas and I are heading to our table. when we got there everyone said to us hey or sup. Then Luqas say "I'm going to get lunch" "okay" I say. " what's up Jade" Justice looking at me "nothing really what bout' you" I say back. When Justice was about to respond Luqas was back with a tray of a chicken burger, ranch, carrots, and chocolate. I stole a carrot from him and ate it and act like nothing happen. he looked at me and glared at me playfully and says "you heist didn't do that" I looked at him innocently and says "what did I do?" He lightly shoves me and says " I know what you did" " well I'm going to get chips" walking away. Once I got back almost everyone was taking one chip. I was just sitting there and eating what was left. Luqas was looking at me and says "you remind me of Bob Marley" "how do I remind you of Bob Marley??" I say. " I don't know you are just very chill and doesn't care what anyone thinks of you." I blush slightly and say" thanks" the bell rung signaling us that we have to start classes again.
