"Close. The. Damn. DOOR!" I yelled at my sister across the room, "When I ask you to close my door you don't shut it half way, you shut it all the way! Stupid bitch," I muttered the last part.
"Geez," she replied as she threw a letter on my bed, "That's for you." She looked back at me and rolled her eyes as she slammed my door shut.
I picked up the letter nonchalantly thinking that it was an early Christmas card from my grandma.
Genevieve,
Second grade in Mrs. Franklin's class...Mae.
Mae was going to kill herself.Without thinking I ran to the door calling Mae as I did.
"Pick up, pick up, PICK UP!"
"You have reached my voicemail. Well, you've reached Mae's voicemail which is technically-"
"DAMN IT!" I threw my phone to the ground, not caring as it broke into tiny little pieces. I quickly started my car and drove as fast as my fucking car would take me.
Right when I pulled up, I knew. I was too late.

"Bitch, if you're gonna share actually share!"
"I bought this damn liquor by myself, therefore I can drink it by myself," I smart assed back. I took a shot and slammed it down.
Clex took a shot as well and made a face.
"What, too strong?" I teased.
"No bitch, I just forgot something," she handed me a letter, "It was on your counter-top."
I stared at it confused. Who the fuck would write me a letter.
Caitlin,
You win. Congratulations..."That little bitch," I murmured.
"What?" Clex asked.
"You know that girl Mae?"
"Yeah, she's the one who despises you, right?"
"Yeah and I feel the same way, anyway guess what she did?! She killed herself!"
Clex spit out the liquor.
"WHAT!"
"Shhh. Calm down. Teenage suicide happens every day and lucky for me the person I despise most in this world did it."
"SHIT! You could get blamed and go to jail and so could I!"
"Not if nobody has this letter," I smirked and took my lighter out and lit the paper on fire.
"That little bitch thought she could bring me down by killing herself?! She was damn wrong."

"Please, I could throw a fifty yard," Ace smirked.
"Then do it you arrogant ass," I teased. He fake glared at me then took the ball and threw it into the end-zone.
"Arrogant, but right ass," he corrected me.
"Come on, let's go back, it's getting late," I started walking to the locker rooms, but stopped when I saw something on the bleachers. I ran up to it to realize it was a letter. Addressed to me. I ripped it open.
Dylan,
I love you. We have been together for three years...No. No. No no no no.
"ACE!" I screamed, "ACE! MAE! WE NEED TO GET MAE!"
Ace ran towards me already looking worried. "Calm down. What's going on?!"
"S-She's gonna kill herself! We need t-to s-stop her!" I fell to my knees knowing that I wouldn't be able to stop her. I sobbed. I looked back and Ace was frantically on the phone.
"NO! We have to go get her now! She might be okay!" Ace exclaimed as he started running to the car.
"Ace, she's gone." As I said those words, I realized what was really happening. The girl I'd sacrifice anything for. The girl who made me crazy. The girl I loved, was gone.
~Ace's P.O.V~
I looked back to Dylan who was blankly staring out the window.
"Hey man, it's your stop," I carefully said as I pulled up to his house. He said nothing as he walked up to his front steps. When he went inside I broke down. I stared down, ashamed of myself as tears poured out. I started to drive back to my house, but barely being able to see because of the tears. Maybe I'd get into a crash. Maybe I'd die. At that moment I didn't care.
I pulled up to my house and quickly got out of the car and noticed the flag up on my mailbox. I reached inside and pulled out a letter.
Ace,
You can't tell a single soul what happened those nights...Why did she do this? Now I would never be able to get over her. I ripped the paper to shreds as I cried. I probably cried for hours.
I loved you too, Mae.
