TW// Blood, gore

"Let's go into the corn maze," they said. "It'll be fun," they said. Yeah, they were wrong. I continue running through the maze searching for the exit as another loud scream, blood-curdling and desperate, pierces the air. I get to a four-way intersection and I stop running, carefully listening to my surroundings. I hear a rustling sound to my right and I prepare to run. Someone steps out of the corn and falls to the ground, tired from running. I slowly head towards the person, going to check to make sure they are alright. I reach the person and I see that it's one of the people who entered the maze with my friends and I. "Hey are you alright?" I ask. They look up at me, blood dripping from a wound in their stomach and say one word, "Run".

Then they drop to the ground, dead. I turn away from the dead body and start running, hoping that I find the exit. As I'm running I start to hear footsteps behind me, and I run faster. I don't have good stamina but, I have to keep running unless I want to die. I get to another intersection and I see the exit, I turn towards the exit and keep running. I can feel myself slowing down, as I'm getting tired from running. Panting a gasp of breath, I turn my head and see feet running, tail wagging, the beast, an animal that looks like a really angry advanced version of a wolf, catching up to me. I can see a couple of people at the exit, but because I have slowed down, the beast has caught up to me. The beast drags a claw across my throat. I fall to the ground, blood spilling out of my neck, and I wake up.

It was just a dream, or so I thought until it happened later that night.
