The unknown forest

After processing what she told you, you decide to support her decision. You think that her choice is wrong, but she has a good reason. You are watching her. She is finishing her spell, but she looks worried. Few minutes have passed and you are sitting on the ground while she is completing the spell. When she is finally done, you decide to hug her. She is really sad and not happy about the event happening. She needs company, so you decide to stay with her. Not long after your hug. She finally talks to you.

-Listen, she tells you. I am sorry for what I told you before. I didn't mean to be rude with you. It's only that i'm not in a good mood right now. I think that I tried to make the right choices, but I don't feel like there are any. I try to be a better person every day, but the queen is always forcing me to do her dirty work. I'm tired of her.

-I understand that you don't want to do this, but have you ever tried to talk about this to anybody, you respond to her. I mean, when I was a kid and I made a mistake, I always told my brother and he always protected me. My father was really mean to me, but my brother was always there to save me. If you talk to someone, I'm sure they will help you to get out of this situation.

-The problem is that I have no friends. Two years ago, the queen threatened me. If I still had friends by the end of the week, she would banish me from this world. I got scared, so I took my distance from my friends. I tried everything I could do to keep them without the queen noticing, but she is too powerful. Now, I am alone in this situation. Nobody can help me.

-You have me. I know I don't know you very well, but I can help. I think that my brother would've helped you, so I will. You only need to tell me your story from the beginning and I will do the best I can to save you.

-From the beginning, are you sure?

-Yes, I'm certain.

-Ok then, open your ears, because there's a lot of details. I was eleven years old the first time I met the queen. I never knew how she met my father, but she knew him. The first time I saw her, she was talking to my parents about me. I was playing with my brother outside, and the queen was looking at me through the kitchen's window. Before she left the house, she came near me and told me that we would become best friends. From that day, I always thought she was kind, until she forced me to become her slave. She started to force me to do her job. She never told me why she chose me, but I got my idea. When I was seven years old, I remembered being one of the most powerful fairies of my class. My teachers were always telling me how good I was. We were living in a little village, far away from here. One day, we had to move away, because of me. I did something dangerous. A normal fairy has powers, basic powers, but I had miraculous powers. I am not a normal fairy. My powers are more powerful than any others, but my parents always told me to hide them. One day, a boy came by me. He tried to kiss me, but I don't really love boys. You see, I'm more into girls. Anyways, when he came near my mouth, I screamed. When I opened my eyes, that boy was crying on the ground. He was suffering like someone was hurting him, but nobody was touching him. When somebody yelled "She did it. She is evil. She is making him suffer.", everybody looked at me. I got scared, so I ran away. When I got home, I told my parents and they immediately packed our things. From this day, I know I'm special. This is why the queen wants me to work for her. She knows my powers and my weaknesses. This is why I need to do everything she asks me. This is why I'm scared of her.

-Hold on. If you are powerful, why didn't you try to stop her. Why didn't you try to dethrone her.

-I'm scared of her. I don't even know how to control my powers, so how can I beat a queen?

-I understand and I respect your decision. If you want me to, I could try to help you beat this queen. I could help you control your powers. I know nothing about fairies, but I'm sure you can teach me everything you know. Please, let me help you.

-Before I let you do something stupid, I need to show you someone.

You decided to go with her. After a long walk, you finally arrive. You are in front of a small house. You don't understand why she brought you here. She tells you to wait outside while she goes inside. After a few minutes, someone is coming out of the house. It is not a fairy. It's a boy. Not a simple boy. You instantly recognize the body shape of this human. It is your brother. You immediately run into his arms. You are crying and you don't understand anything, but you don't care because you are reunited with your lost brother. After this big hug, he takes you inside of his house. With a big cup of tea, he explains to you his story.

Hours later, you are finally informed of every detail of the extinction of your brother. Something is telling you to stay in this world, so you decide to talk to the fairy alone.

-What's wrong, she tells you. I thought you were going to be happy to see your brother, but you look sad.

-I'm not, you answered. I am only trying to find a way to live here without any problems.

- Hold on. You want to stay here?

-Well, my brother is here and I have a fairy to save.

The fairy instantly jumps to your neck. She can't believe you were serious. She redresses herself and she looks into your eyes. She is smiling. You don't know what is happening, but you are happy. She takes your head with her hands and she brings your mouth close to hers. In an instant, you are shocked as you push her.

-I'm really sorry, she says. I didn't mean to scare you.

You did not even let her finish talking that you take her head and you kiss her like there is no tomorrow. You guys and looking at each other. You are smiling and you kiss her again.

Eight years later, you are standing in a crowd. Everybody looks happy. You hug your brother at the same time that your wife is receiving her crown. She is now the queen. The hand of your adopted child is pulling your shirt. You are looking at him.

-Mama is the best, he tells you.

-Yes, she is, you replied.
