''Hey ,'' Dazai heard his own voice calling to him when he woke up. ''You okay? The doctor said that you had a serious concussion.'' Dazai sat up. ''Ah--'' He winced put a palm against his forehead. ''Hey I literally just told you you had serious concussion! Don't make such a sudden move !'' Chuuya immediately stood up and leaned forward to straighten the pillow for him.

''I'm okayyy, how long have I been out ?'' Chuuya sat back down. ''Not long, juz half a day. It's morning right now.'' Then Dazai thought of something. ''How many days left ?'' Chuuya put his finger on his chin and glanced up. ''One? I think? I dunno I've lost track of it.'' ''Yeah me too, what about Kyora ?'' ''The boss just called and told me that Kyora holds a grudge with the Port Mafia because of his brother's death, so that was juz his lousy revenge, destroying what the mafia owns. Welp, I think he did his best, seeing that he's a coward.''

Dazai looked down. ''Yeah his abilities were strong, he could've given the mafia building a shot.'' Chuuya tilted his head in confusion. ''Abilities? I thought ability users only have one ability.'' Dazai nodded as he turned to look at Chuuya. ''Yeah but that's if you didn't do anything to yourself. I think Kyora must've done some kind of experiment on himself to get two abilities.'' Dazai shrugged. ''Maybe he got something out of that lab-man's test results.''

''Urgh speaking of that damn lab-man, he almost killed you, that bastard ,'' Chuuya pursed his lips and crossed his arms looking at the floor. Then he looked back up at Dazai. ''Anyways, you need me to call the doctor ?'' Dazai shook his head. ''No, I'm fine~ I wanna go home~'' He groaned as he moved closer to hug Chuuya, his face buried before the brunet's stomach. ''Ngaa stop it get off !'' Chuuya gently pushed him away and stood up, leaving Dazai hanging off the bedside. ''Change your clothes, I'll wait outside.'' ''Yayy~''

''Chuuya Chuuya come with me !'' Dazai pulled Chuuya's hand. ''Where to ?'' It was almost twelve at night. A second ago they were buying supper, then the next second he urged Chuuya to follow him. ''I've found a great spot for us to eat at !'' Dazai seemed excited. In fact, he's been excited for the whole night. ''Umm okayy ??''

They've finally reached their destination. It was an old abandoned treehouse. The lush tree was large and tall, standing out in the middle of an empty ground coated with green. It had beautiful yellow flowers amongst the dark green leaves, the contrast of the colours creating a fascinating sight. ''Woww... ''Chuuya was definitely amazed by what he saw.

Not far away was a slightly narrow clear river, gleaming with moonlight on its wavy surface. And across it there were tall buildings, lights seeping out the windows as people lived their respective lives in their houses. ''Come on come up here !'' Dazai called out to Chuuya from above. Chuuya tore his gaze away and went up to the rooftop of the wooden treehouse, where Dazai sat on. They opened the packaging of their food and started eating. ''Beautiful right ?'' Chuuya nodded with a bright smile. ''Welp, that's not it, juz wait.'' Chuuya looked at him puzzled. ''Juz wait for it~''

Then he heard whistles and soft bangs in a distant. Chuuya turned to look. The sky flared with different colours. Sparks rose up to the air and bloomed like bright colourful flowers in the sky.

Wow...

''Why are there fireworks today ?'' He turned to look at Dazai, the ginger head's eyes were fixed on the fireworks, an earnest smile spread on his face. He too admired the scene quietly. Then in a blink of an eye, the scene shifted a little. It felt weird. Chuuya looked to his left, but there was no sign of Dazai. ''Looks like the time's up !'' Dazai chirped on his right. It was exactly twelve o'clock when they had switched back.

After setting their empty lunchboxes aside, Dazai gently intertwined his hand with Chuuya's, making the shorty blush a little while turning to look at the brunet. The light breeze sent the leaves on the tree rustling, yellow petals came floating down gracefully. Dazai leaned close to him. He gently pressed his lips against Chuuya's, and the ginger head did the same. They lived in the moment, a long, lingering kiss between soulmates before Dazai pulled away.

He looked Chuuya in the ocean-blue eyes with a tender smile, and spoke in a gentle, soft voice.

''Happy birthday, Chuuya.''
