This is undoubtedly important. Imagine being sorted into a house and then at the end of the feast, your prefect tells you you have no common room and have to sleep on the great hall floor. Hogwarts wouldn't seem so great any more. Therefore, we have to have an entrance to a common room.
I'm going to take this threw sections so everyone's turn out unique. First generate a number from 1 - 11. This will be an item involved.
1. A portrait
2.A wall
3.A suit of armour
4.A certain flight if stairs
5.Curtains on a window
6.A window
7.A door
8.A piano
9.A chandelier
10.A statue
11.The floor
Once that is done generate a number from 1 - 9. This will tell you what you have to do to get into the common room
1. A password
2. Solve a puzzle
3. Sing a certain tune
4. Wave your wand and cast a certain spell
5. Do a weird dance
6. Recite something in class that you learnt
7. Open something up
8. Touch the item without it harming you
9. Let the item examine your wand
This part is to add a few minor details that could take place when opening. Perhaps it's a speaking window? Well let's see. Generate a number from 1 - 9. Thus will show how much abilities your entrance room has

Then generate a number from 1 - 13 These will be your abilities. If you got more then one ability, regenerate until you've fulfilled them all. Regenerate if you get the same thing twice.

5. Has a long memory
6. It gives you accurately fair warnings.
7. It peddles with your brain.
8. It has a nice sense of humour
9. Breath fire.
10. Lock you out
11. Produce sparks
12. Shows off
13. It's serious
Well my common room is a boring door. But that's alright. Because instead of a password, you have to touch an item without it harming you. Not only that my door has two special abilities it gives me accurately fair warnings and can breath fire...? I've never heard of a door breathing fire even in the six adding world.
