-Spy and Scout-
"Scout! Stop lazying about! There is work to be done!" Silence fills the room. "Scout! Wake up!" Spy rolls one of Scouts magazines he picked up and bonks Scout on the head. "Scout listen to me when I'm talking to you! Now get a move on!!"
"Alright, alright! I'm going! ....Sheesh dad, don't get your panties in a twist." Scout grabs his bat and walks out, Spy follows behind him bonking him on the head one more time. "Don't call me dad."
-Meeting Room-
"Okay, anyone have any questions before we get started?" Soldier raises his hand. "Soldier, if it's about that metal bucket again put your hand down." Soldier brings his hand back down. "If there's no questions," Engineer rubs his hands together, "let's get started."
-3hrs later-
"And that's how we get the milk from the cardboard. Any questions?" Soldier raises his hand again "Soldier, no." Soldier whimpers, "Okay." and brings his hand back down. "If there's no questions then meetings over." The room fills up with multiple conversations.
Spy takes out his cigarette case and grabs one out out of the case and places it back into his suit jacket. Scout nudges Spy's arm with his elbow. "Hey dad? When do you think dinner is?" Spy rolls his eyes and lights the cigarette. "Don't ask me stupid questions."
"But Dad, I'm hungry."
"Get something from the snack machine or the refrigerator just leave me alone... And stop calling me dad, it wasn't funny the first time you said it."
"come on stop jokin' around! Its time to eat!" Scout grabs Spy's arm and pulls him out door. "S-SCOUT!!'
-Kitchen-
Scout puts on an apron and hands another one to Spy. "What is this for?"
"Cooking! You said you'll teach me how to make one of those fancy dinners."
Spy slowly puts on the apron. "I never promised tha-" Scout pulls Spy's arm an drags him to the counter. "Okay dad! What's first?" Spy sighs angrily. "I told you stop calling me--" The determined look in Scouts eyes caused Spy to stop speaking. Scout never looked up to Spy like this. At first Spy thought Scout was just annoying him by calling him dad but the look Scout was giving him. He didn't know what to do so he decided roll with it. "Okay uhh.. Son, grab a bowl, a spoon, and some of those spices."
"Sure thing, Dad!"
Spy was actually having fun with Scout. Cooking was a breeze! Scout would actually listen to Spy.
After a few hours of cooking. It was time for them to try out the fancy food. "WOAH! How did set the dish like that!"
"Hehe, later I'll show you but for now let's eat!"
"Bon appetit!"
After they both have finished eating they headed outside to take in the stars.
"Dad, I wanna tell you something."
"What is it, son?"
"Well uhh don't think I'm word or nothin' but-" Scout tears up. "I wanna thank you, dad, for being there for me when mom couldn't." Scout smiles. "You're the best! I love you!" Scout hugs Spy. Speechless, Spy slowly hugs Scout back. Tears ran down Spy's face as he holds Scout tightly. He grins. "I love you too, Scout, my son." Spy closes his eyes but as he opens them everything changed. He was in his chair, in his smoking room. It was all a dream. He could still feel the tears running down his face.
A few knocks at the door echoed in the room.
"What do you want?!"
"Spy! Th-"
"Fuck off Scout!"
"Fuck you Spy!" Scout stomps angrily away from the doors then angrily stomps back. "Rude!!" And stomps away again.
Spy giggles as a grin appears. "I wasnt a father to you but... I still love you. Happy Birthday, Jeremy."
