There wasn't much to do.

They "boys" stood in place by the couch, not even sitting down, and stared out into the distance. I leaned over the arm and waved my hand in front of their faces, trying to get a reaction out of them.

"Hello?" I said "Anyone there." I sighed in exasperation, jumped on the couch. Bouncing slightly, I looked at the door that lead to the study, barely making out the muffled voices. I looked around the room, getting off the couch and began messing with the windows. Each one was 7ft wide by 6ft long, with a slim bar of metal framing each pane. None of them had a lock or could open in anyway. Pressing my face against the glass, I looked out. The dead grass and bushes being the only features on the barren land. There must of been only 3 very dead trees about a mile away from the house, and no city in sight. I tried to look for a driveway, to see if there was a car I could break into. Nada. Did he really walk all the way here?

Bored out of my mind, I began to wander the halls, checking each door in the hallway on the left side of the house.

"Why do we have so many closets." I muttered, opening the 7th supply closet in this house. This one filled filled with towels. There were at least 7 closets, 12 bedrooms not including mine, 8 bathrooms, and 2 kitchens. I was surprised to not of found G's bedroom, maybe it's on the opposite side of the house? I shook my head, closing the door.

I stalked back to living room and jumped slightly. Jesus, did those guys not move at all? They stood in the exact same place, with the exact same posture. Ignoring my temptation to push one of them to see if they would react, I went over to the door of the study and leaned my ear against it. I wasn't below eavesdropping.

"-You should really do it, G, after all you don't want to deal with the children or mess they can make."

"For the least time, I'm not doing that Miranda. What if I release her? She's clearly feral."

"Not likely, you have her marked and someone could pick her back up, thinking they could use her for ransom."

"You and I both know nobody is that stupid." I heard him scoff.

"I know plenty of stupid people, and you might be one of them."

"Watch what you say Miranda, I know more then you think I do."

"Of course, of course. No one disrespects you unless they want to lose their head."

I heard the shuffling of people standing up  and panicked. I raced over to the couch, sitting down and tried to clam down enough to stop the rush of adrenaline. G opened the door, allowing Miranda to walk out of the study. She strutted to where I was sitting and cupped my cheeks.

"You are the most adorable thing," she cooed "I wish I could just steal you away for myself." I flushed violently and pulled my face away. She frowned and beckoned her "boys" to her side and clipped on their leashes.

"Take what I said to heart G, you'll never know." She called out, waltzing to the door. He glared at the door as it slammed shut, making me jump. He banged the door frame with his fist, hissing as his snake tongue flickered from his mouth.

"Bitch doesn't know when to keep her mouth shut." He growled, looking at the crack in the frame. Nervous, I got up from the couch and slowly walked over to him.

"What were you guys talking about?" I asked, unsure of how he'd react. He raised an eyebrow,  his expression changing  to amusement, like flipping a switch.

"How much did you hear?" He asked back. My blush grew brighter and he laughed "I could smell you behind the door, Darling." He flicked his out tongue at me.

"Just how much of a snake are you?" I huffed, crossing my arms.

"More than I care to admit." He shrugged. I flinched as he lifted my chin up with a finger. Chills ran down my spine as he leaned down to my neck, barely licking the side of my neck. He's smelling my fear. Panicked, I push away from him in disgust.

"Don't."

Lightning quick he grabbed my right shoulder, narrowing his eyes.

"Don't what, My Dear?" He whispered leaning closer to me, gripping my shoulder like a vice. I inhaled sharply, wincing as I felt my shoulder about to pop.

"Could I go to my room." I exhaled breathlessly, trying to stop any tears from falling. A second passed before he let go, his face expressionless. He nodded and turned away  and backed into the study. Gripping my upper arm, I walked stiffly back to my room, fuming. I slammed the door behind me, not caring enough for the repercussions. How dare he. Does he think I'm going to be a docile pet made for his amusement?

Hundreds of hostile and bitter thoughts crossed through my mind as I paced the floor, grinding my teeth. Furious, I walk into the closet. I looked at the selection of clothes before me venomously, grabbing what ever caught my attention.  Best to use this anger making outfits so I don't break something, I grimaced flipping over a oversized shirt to look at the band logo on the back.

Over the course of 10 minutes I had several outfits laid out on the bed, a mix of reds with blacks, oranges, yellows and various shades of gray. I switched out a red and black plaid skirt with a pair of ripped Jean's, it better matched the gothic looking crop top than a ACDC long sleeve. Satisfied, I hung everything back up, thinking maybe I'll remember the combinations to wear later. Yeah right.

"Ever heard of pajamas jackass?" I murmured. Sighing, I picked out a oversized Led Zeppelin shirt to wear while I slept. I quickly changed, putting my dirty clothes in a bin in the back of the closet, and crawled into bed. Struggling to get comfortable under the covers, I cuddled a circular throw pillow and picked at the neckline of the shirt. Maybe tomorrow will be less hectic, I hoped.
