Error life wasn't one of the happiest. It never was. Even in his original universe people would try to break him in any way. Fate ended his pain by taking him only for it all to restart. But this time, he didn't survive it. Error lived in a au called Spiritale, an au were the boss monsters had the power of talking to the dead and sometimes see them in a 'spirit form'. The destroyer's dad, the Gaster of the au died when he was really young. At the time he had more of a papyrus character and his brother was the lazy one in the family. His dad was everything to him, the one to protect him from the bullies, to tell him bedtime stories, and the one he cuddled with when he was in a bad day, but since he was gone everything got worse. 8 years old Error was now depressed and refused to get help from his big bro, since he was always out with his 'friends' and blamed him for their dad's death. And of course no one dared to come help this a̷̦̦̠̯͇̬͑b̪̘̙̠̠ͥ̎̊̀͠ọ̢̰̫̻͕̟̻͋ͯm̛̱̞͔͖͓̗ͯͣ͐ḯ̘͚̜̭͠ņ͖̰͚̲͙̗ͥ̎̃͂aͣ͏̻̠ț̣̤̩͆̔ͥͬ͜ï̺͕̟̺̟͊̓͞o̸̭̰͓̭̩͉̎n̫͓̍͛̾̎̕. One of the causes of Error being bullied was the anormal colors that his bones and the multicolored eyes he had. The other being that he always was in the back of the class talking to the walls, as the other children told the adults. Some monster knew he wasn't crazy and was only talking to his dad ghost but no one never had the kindness to communicate this information. And then it happened, Fate took him along with Gaster's ghost, him being directly connected to his precious son soul, to the anti-void. 

His au was part of why Error could see ghost like CC or Dust Papyrus, he even saw once a group of melted gasters that were watching one of the fight between him and Ink. Spirits were the only peoples to actually help him even if it was sort of too late, the destroyer mental state being deteriorating from day to day. When he accidentally kidnapped blue, his gaster was with him and called himself Swap. Thus it was when Blue was asleep that him and the now two gasters would talk for hour on end talking about nothing and everything. Well they did that when he didn't have to destroy any copies because of Ink stupidity. One of the funniest conversation he had was when Swap got in a crazy state because of Error non-existent knowledge in food variety. Swap was more than outraged by this and told him everything he knew about going from simple cake recipe, to crazy dish he wondered how he could even remember how to make. That was the only moments Error enjoyed in his life, but it didn't last long because of the little blue skeleton need to go back in his au. Good things never lasted but luckily he still had his dad to talk to. The two were adorable with each other, it was sad that no one could see him. There was this battle when Error and Gaster got in an argument over how to properly bake cookies, to say that Ink and Dream were confused was a fact for sure. The two had left after the "ɮʊȶ աɦʏ ƈǟռ'ȶ ɨ ǟɖd ɢʟɨȶȶɛʀ ȶօ ȶɦɛ ƈօօӄɨɛ ???" part. It seems that he hasn't learnt anything from Swap last visit. 

But all of this ended after the battle that took place in a giant blank au, like in, every single other fgod multiverse. 

"ERROR ! TODAY IS THE LAST CHANCE YOU HAVE TO STOP DESTROYING !"

he didn't mean it

"Please Error i know you're not a bad person !"

he didn't understand him

"So this pathetic glitch is the destroyer heh ?"

he didn't know him

he didn't believe his own words

he didn't know the big mistake he was making

so he just stood there and took all the hits
