Heartless Love

"Standing here alone drenched in rain water,"Everyone else had left.

Looking at the ground I could see my reflection through the puddle of water,a few minutes later I found myself kneeling down next to my father's grave.

"He was the only person who truly loved me,and now his gone." Lifting myself up from the ground, I walked to a bench near by and moved my legs up to my chest to cry.

Present day

"It's been 2 years since my father's death,and,I guess am not completely over the fact that my role model was gone."

Everything had changed completely,but I never thought I would actually be okay.

The first day of senior year,and here I am looking at my reflection, wondering how to be the perfect daughter and student I can be.

According to my mother after my Father's death I became a nonsensical spoiled brat.

Finally standing up from my stool,I walk over to my bed and quickly pack up my books and necessities.

Walking out of my room I hear my mum shout,"Amari!if your not down here in the next 5 seconds you will have to walk to school."

After hearing that I ran as quickly as I could down the stairs,and ran out of the house as if I was a stray cat running away from guard dogs.

I entered the car and sat in the back seat beside Kaden.
"Kaden,are you going to have basketball practice today?" I asked already knowing he was going to have practice.

"Of course,you already knew that and you wonder why everyone calls you stupid."he answered back.
I could hear the annoyance in his voice and heard a sigh come out.

"Amari?" "Yes", I replied ."What do you?"

"Um..."I hesitated."Spit it out already,"Kaden said irritated by me,"can you please come to..." "No."He said immediately, before I could even finish my sentence, getting annoyed as well, I said back."it's fine I don't even you there anyway."

Kaden was my stepbrother,my mother had remarried a year after my dad's death. I was actually shocked that she would remarry, but I guess she got tired of being lonely.

Arriving at school,I sheepishly got out the car and walked right behind Kaden.

Ever since my mum married again, I felt like the black sheep of the family, because everyone was into sports or they are into eating healthy,and sometimes I felt like the ugly duckling as well, everyone else was extremely good looking or smart and fit.

Well the only quality I have that is listed is being smart, kind of cause I don't fail math and English so yeah am not a complete dumb ass.

Walking through the school halls was always an calming to me, because their will always be a pair of eyes set on you,I could feel the judgement from their eyes.

As I walk to my locker am stopped by my idiot step brother Kaden.

"Kaden,what do you want?"
"I came to ask for a favour."he said.

Kaden was always asking me for silly favours,but today I was not going to help this racoon faced pig.

"No!" I answered and started walking away. He caught up to me,and pulled me into the janitor's closet.

Not happy with his actions and feeling very insecure about what the others thought,about the scene that we had caused.

"Amari listen I really need this favour so please,help me. "he begged looking very desperate.

I released a sigh and answered ,"only if you come to the hospital with me."

He seemed shocked by my response and agreed to my terms.

"I will pick you up after practice,"he said.

After that he walked out the closet,and went over to his girlfriend,"Chantelle Max."the head cheerleader.

Trotting down the hall I felt even worse,because almost everyone's eyes were on me ,no one else in school new that Kaden and I were step siblings.

So am pretty sure they thought of some nasty shit. Ew I don't even want think about it.

5 painful hours later,and it was almost time for my appointment.Walking out of the main building,I sat on the bench and pulled out my dairy. A few minutes later I heard a voice behind me and say

"Come on raccoon face time to go,"Kaden said arrogantly.

Walking over to his car which he left in school. It looked like someone was sited on the passenger's sit.

Entering the car,I sat in the back seat,not noticing the person who was in the front.

"Kaden it seems like your not the only one in your family without manners,"looking over at the person ,our eyes met through the rare view mirror,his intimidating and immaculate blue eyes had continued staring at me, I felt like he was seeing right through me, hearing all my thoughts, reading books about my past,and just their the idiot winks at me.

Feeling shy and embarrassed,I looked away breaking our gaze and burried my head in my backpack,not wanting to admire his beautiful blue eyes, that complimented his chiseled face and tanned skin.

I should have known that Luke Hart would have changed my life.
