*Kyle's pov*
I woke up to the sound of someone shrieking. I looked at the time on my phone squinting at the brightness. It was still very dark. It was only 2 in the morning. I heard a sort of whimper next to me. I sat up and look at Linna on the couch. She was tossing and turning. She must be having a bad dream.
I sat up on my knees and scooted closer to the couch. "Linna" I whispered. I gently put my hand on her arm. She still didn't wake up. She was defiantly having a bad dream. I shook her a bit and said her name a bit louder this time. She jumped awake and looked up at me terrified. I knew my mouth was hanging open a bit. "Linna, are you alright?" I asked brushing her hair out if her face. I blushed a bit.
Linna sat up a bit and rubbed her face. "I just had the worst dream." She replied sighing and slapping her hand back on her leg. "Yeah. I woke up to you shrieking in your sleep."
"Oh I woke you up? I'm so sorry, Kyle!"
"No! Its alright." I said waving my hands. "I just...wanted to make sure you were alright." She nodded and smiled, her face turning a light pink."Well uh, I guess I'm going back to sleep." I stated crawling back over to my two pillows and a blanket.
"Uh, Kyle?" I looked over at her. "Um, do you...maybe think it would be okay if I maybe come down there with you? I'm kind of scared." Her face was bright red and I felt mine start to turn red too. She wants to come sleep next to me.
I smiled "yeah. That's fine." I said nodding. She threw her blanket off and crawled over to me. I pulled one of the pillows out and set it next to mine, holding the blanket up for her to get under. Once she laid down I covered her up and laid down myself. We turned over to face each other and we both smiled causing us to giggle.
I wanted to hold her so badly but I was scared she would think it was weird. She just doesn't want to feel alone. She's freaked out because of the dream is all. This is nothing more than making herself feel safe.
But she's so cute and if she's scared I want to hold her to comfort her. Just do it. I'm sure she won't mind. But I can't it's weird. Just get over it and go back to sleep. Why am I arguing with myself.
I'm gonna do it.
I scooted closer to her as slowly as I though necessary, not taking my eyes off hers. I slowly snaked my arms around her waist and she immediately scooted closer and buried her face in my chest. I smiled and felt my face heat up. I rested my chin on the top of her head and relaxed. Soon after we were both asleep.

"This is absolutely adorable!" I heard someone shout obviously not caring that I'm sleeping over here.
I peeled my eyes open to see Johnnie, Jason, Bryan, and Damon standing over me with grins on their faces. What the fuck. I felt movement between my arms making me look down. It was Linna. I immediately remembered what happened earlier this morning.
I heard a click and looked over to see them taking pictures. My eyes widened and I felt Linna move again. Linna opened her eyes and smiled at me. I pulled my arms away and scooted over as she stretched and looked up at the guys. They stared at each other for awhile, then Linna broke the silence. "I had a bad dream, I was scared, Kyle was my teddy bear for the night." She then got up and walked upstairs. I watched her until she was in her room, then looked at the guys who were still grinning like psychos. I shook my head and proceeded to the kitchen for food. Johnnie followed me into the kitchen and sat at the bar giving me a weird look. I stared at him for a moment then rolled my eyes. "Seriously. Nothing is going on." I said turning on my heels and grabbing a bowl and pouring cerial in it along with milk.
"I believe you. But I have this feeling that there's something going on with you, like you're hiding something and you don't even know it, let alone know what it is you're hiding. And I think the same thing is happening to Katlinna." I gave Johnnie a weird look "What the fuck are you talking about?" Johnnie just shook his head.
After I finished eating I asked Damon if I could use the shower. When he said I could I ran upstairs to the bathroom with clothes in my hand. When I finished showering I put my skinny jeans, my belt, and some socks on and opened the door to let out the heat. I quickly picked through my hair and started blow drying it before I pulled out the straightener. I knew they wouldn't mind me using either of them.
A few minutes went by and I heard the sound of quick footsteps coming toward me. Out of the corner of my eye I saw someone run past the bathroom. The sound suddenly stopped making me look at the door way. Linna slowly backed up into the doorway and looked over at me. We stared at each other for a moment. Her face turned bright red and she ran off again. I blinked and felt my face heat up. I chuckled at her reaction and went back to straightening my hair. I pulled on a Pierce The Veil shirt and my red and black flannel and ran downstairs. Everyone was lounging around the living room watching tv. Linna looked at me and smiled, then looked back at the tv. I chuckled, smiling to myself.
"Hey Kyle, I need to talk to you." Johnnie said getting up and putting his shoes on. I raised an eyebrow and put my shoes on, confused as to what this is about. He opened the front door and walked outside. I followed him pulling the door shut behind me.
We walked down the road in silence eventually ending up at the park. We sat at the top of the skate park ramps. "So, is there anything bothering you? Like anything at all?" Johnnie asked turning to face me. I looked over at him with a weird look on my face. "No. Why?" He just shook his head. "So you're really close with Linna now huh?" I nodded.
"Yeah. We are really close." I smiled at the thought of her. I'm not sure why. "She's really cool. I love talking to her. We have some of the funniest conversations sometimes. She has a really cute laugh. She has a great smile too. She's so pretty. Oh, and really sweet." I was staring up at the sky thinking about other things I love about her. I looked back at Johnnie and he had a huge grin on his face. At first I wasn't quite sure why he was looking at me like that. I gasped when I realized. "I really like her, Johnnie!" He threw his hands in the air looking up at the sky. "YES! I FUCKING KNEW IT!" He shouted with a bit of a laugh.
"I don't think she likes me back. Why would she. She just thinks of me as if I were her brother, or something. I have to get over this." I got really sad all of a sudden. She's never gonna like me back. Johnnie laughed for at least 5 minutes. I was so confused.
"Kyle, you're stupid! She likes you a lot too! Anyone can see that. I guess except for you're blind ass!"
"Did she say she likes me?!" I asked quickly.
"Well, no but you can tell, Kyle. Its literally plane as day. I saw what she did earlier when you were in the bathroom straightening your hair with no shirt on. She was checking you out, dumbass." I thought about it for a minute and smiled. I knew my face was red right about now and I could feel the butterflies in my stomach going crazy.
"What am I supposed to do?" I asked looking up at him. He gave me a stupid look. "Damnit Kyle, ask her out!" He squealed. His voice gets high when he sort of freaks out. Its kind of funny. I know Linna thinks it's really cute. I wonder what she thinks is cute about me. Probably nothing. Ugh. Everything about her is so fucking cute!
"What if I make a fool of myself? I don't want her to think I'm an idiot." Johnnie shook his head. "You'll be fine, Kyle. Just man up and ask her out." I sighed "alright."

We got back to Damon and Linna's and I was suddenly really nervous. "You've got this, man." Johnnie said gently slapping me on the back before we walked into the house. I signed and opened the front door, walking in. Everyone was in the living room except Linna. I bet shes in her room. I ran up the stairs and toward her room. The closer I got to her closed door, the louder the sound of music got. She was listening to Pierce The Veil. I smiled and knocked on her door. She didn't answer, so I knocked again but louder. No answer. I slowly turned the knob and cracked the door open, peeking my head in. She was sitting on her bed, going through her phone and singing. She looked up at me and smiled. I smiled back and walked in shutting the door behind me. I walked over and stood in front of her. She looked up at me and put her phone down.
"Linna, can I ask you something?" I asked. She raised an eyebrow. She couldn't hear me over the music. I walked over to her tower speaker and shut it off. I walked back over to her and sat down on her bed. "I was wondering.... would you wanna go to dinner and see a movie with me tomorrow night?" I was so nervous. My stomach was doing some visious flips, and my heart was beating kind of fast. She smiled and nodded happily. I smiled. "Alright, awesome. I know you've been wanting to see that Unfriended movie." I shook my head. "You and your scary movies." She giggled and nodded.
I was really happy. She said yes. One step closer.
