Bretteride Friendship OneShot

Sylvie finished curling her hair, as she ran to her closet to put on a pullover sweater dress. She grabbed her purse and a pair of black wedges, stumbling down the stairs. Not totally excited for her date that night, she still decided to go and make the best of it. To top it all off her car wasn't working earlier that day, so she had Kelly take her to Molly's.

"Ya done yet Sylvie?" Kelly asked, slumped on the couch for the past twenty minutes.

"I'm coming, I'm coming." Brett snaped at him, stubbing her toe into the table as she slipped her wedges on.

"You said that twenty minutes ago." Severide teased, as he slipped on his famous black leather jacket. "Who's the guy anyway?"

"I met him at Molly's the other night." She replied, putting on some earrings. "I was drunk, and somehow agreed to going on a date with him."

 "Smooth." Kelly laughed.

"Oh shut up, and take me." Brett whined.

 An hour later...

 "Ya'know?" Bretts date, asked.

It'd been a whole hour of Sylvie hearing the man's sob story over his ex, and how she dumped him for some veternarian. Brett was beyond annoyed that she actually showed up to this "date" but the fact that Kelly had been making fun of her boredom facial expressions the whole evening. She'd been texting back and forth with him about how bad it was going.

"How can she just do that? I bet he offered her a puppy-" Sylvie's date went on, as she took a long swig of her wine.

"Ready to go?" Severide asked Brett, interrupting the one-sided conversation.

"And who are you?" Sylvie's date asked Kelly, giving him a confused look.

"The calvary." Severide joked, as Brett bursted out laughing.

"Excuse me?"

"Dude, you talked about your ex all evening." Kelly replied. "Go on a date when you've moved on, so other's dont suffer."

"Get out." Sylvie grinned, as she pushed Severide.

"I don't understand?" Her date said aloud, puzzeled.

Brett grabbed her bag and walked over to the bar with Kelly behind. They both ordered beers, and joked the rest of the evening about Brett taking a long break of dating, but this was one for the books.

AHHhh, I'm probably gonna do another Bretteride OneShot because I didn't like this one too much. But, this one was requested, and I hoped my writing was up to standard :) I'll try again soon. - alysha
