I walk this lonely road. the only road that i have ever known. Don't know where it goes, but it's only me and I walk alone.

Well, the song is right about one thing, the street is very lonely today, just like normal.

I click open my phone. It was only 3:30.

Huh, I'm home faster than normal. Maybe the bus wasn't as late today as I thought.

I quickly take my keys from my pocket and unlock the front door. I am immediately almost pushed back out when my little brothers come flying through with their little model airplanes. They both turn to look at me.

"Hi Missy!" David giggles.

"Yeah, hi Missy," Dean's voice all bubbly out, falling on the floor laughing.

"What did you boys do this time," I whisper with sudden fierceness, eyes narrowing on the 2 devils that are my brothers.

"Oh, nothing...."

"Yeah, yeah. Absolutely nothing Missy."

I trudge upstairs with the boys quietly giggiling behind me. Having one brother was already going to be a nightmare I knew, but when Dean came along I didn't expect it to be this bad. I roll my eyes and take another lock out of my pocket to open my room.

I open my door to find my room trashed beyond belief. I scream so loudly I'm pretty sure the neighbors can hear it. But I, for once, don't care.

How did they get into my fucking room. Those little motherfuckers are so dead by the time, I'm finished-

I got cut off on my inner cursing spree by my mom running up the stairs, gasping.

"What's wrong sweetie? Someone get hurt? Are you ok?" she pants, trying to show that she isn't.

I give her my look. The look everyone knows that I'm super pissed and someone did something and now I need to get it fixed right now before I punch someone in the face. Honestly, if someone didn't know that face by now who even knows me in the slightist, I will be worried for their health.

She just sighs when she looks over at my face. I point to my room and ask in a hush, angry whisper, "How exactly is this possible. I locked my room before leaving today. They shouldn't have been able to get in. How?"

"They must have found my spare key for your room. I'm sorry. I'll hide it somewhere else next time. I promise."

"Thank you," I return to my normal voice, controlling my anger, "And I'm sorry for yelling, but you know how much I hate them getting in here."

"I know," she spoke softly. She kissed my forehead gently.

I might be 5'8", and she might be 5'6", but that doesn't stop her from pulling me down and giving me forehead kisses at least once a day.

"Dinner's at 6. Better be there early or your brothers will eat it all. They want to feast tonight. How does chicken burgers sound?"

"They sound great Mom, thanks," I spoke. "I'll be walking down to Maddy's house again today....."

I looked back over and she is already gone. I sigh and walk into my room. I slide my backpack down to the ground and go over to my half body mirror attached to my dresser.

I look up at myself, look down at myself again, and sigh.

I will never be cut out for life, will I? I'll just be that one girl no one is going to remember. The one that is going to be forgotten. The one that people will look through the yearbook and barely remember what I was like.

I look back up and there's a single tear going down my cheek. I quickly wipe it off and shake my head, getting the voices to silence themselves.

I better get started on math. Dad will kill me if I get a B this semester.

I moved the trash David and Dean had put onto my bed, took out my books, and began to work.
