FRAGMENTS OF BROKEN GLASS SHARDS SCATTERED. A single rock shattered a shop's window, its remaining cracked panes sharply sticking out.

And so naturally, the scene drew the onlookers' attentions, feeding their curiosity with every minute they linger-observe, gossip, spread rumors, repeat.

Well at least, fortunately, for her, their insatiable minds were too full, too busy that they failed to notice a thief walking away discreetly. It was a simple distraction to stall the bystanders from catching her red-handed.

Rule number one of being a pickpocket: never be in the spotlight.

"Who threw that?!" one asked no one in particular, followed by whispers from the rest.

Beneath the canopy of her jacket hid loots of lavish, reflective pieces of jewelry away from the iridescent sun, not letting the two rendezvous in front of many eyes.

It was then that [name] scratched her wrist as her nails dug away the irritation. Granted, a silken ribbon wrapped around the skin, so it wasn't that quite relieving.

"Hey!" the shop owner accusingly pointed a finger at her figure. It wasn't only the man whose eyes landed on her, no, a dozen more eyes suspiciously turned to her, too.

Suddenly even more alert, the hair on her nape stood. Her footsteps quickened as it took longer strides, and with her hand poised, she scanned her surroundings.

Six minutes is ticking before her morning class starts.

"Hey, kid! Come back here!"

There, her eyes set in one direction where two boys stood among the commotion, two motorbikes a few feet away behind them.

Good, she thought. Lilac locks and another one with blue-dyed hair. Ah, they're from Toman, a gang that rules Shibuya. She knows them well, in fact, seeing their faces at school isn't unusual.
