Caden was sitting in the living room when he saw Elena heading towards the door. "Hey, where are you going?" He questioned. She didn't look the best.
She looked at him over her shoulder. "N - Nowhere. I'm just going to hang out with Caroline. I'll be back later." She didn't give him anytime to ask anything else before she was rushing out the door.
His phone rang and he leaned forward and picked it off the table. It was Caroline. "Hey, Caroline. Elena just left now."
"Huh? Why would I care where Elena is?" Caroline questioned bluntly.
"Aren't you two hanging out today?"
"Not that I know of. I was actually calling you to come meet me and Bonnie at the Grill. I need to talk to you about something."
Elena had lied to him? But why would she lie? "Yeah, I guess I could meet you there." He said softly. They said their goodbyes and he hung up. He held his phone in his hand and wondered if he should call Elena and see what was going on with her. If she had lied she didn't want him to know so if he called her, he doubted she would tell him the truth.
Maybe he would ask her about it later.

Caden walked over to Caroline and Bonnie. "Caden!" Caroline greeted with a large smile, standing up and pulling him into a hug.
He looked a little surprised. "Hey, Caroline." He let go of her and looked at the other girl. "Hi, Bonnie." She greeted him back. "What did you need to talk to me about?"
"Well, sit down." She grabbed his hand and pulled him down next to her. "We need to talk about Halloween."
"We do?" He asked with furrowed eyebrows.
"Duh. You're going to the Halloween party at school right? Have you got your costume picked out?"
She was speaking so fast that he had a hard time keeping up with her. "I - I didn't know if I was gonna go yet..."
"You are so going. No question about it." She giggled. "If you didn't know if you were going yet that means you don't have a costume?"
"I hadn't picked one out yet."
"Perfect, I got you a costume to wear."
"You bought me one? Caroline, you didn't have do that."
"Shut up. I wanted to." She smiled. "I left it at my house so before the party come to mine. We can get ready together." It was cute how excited she was.
He figured it was better to just agree with her then try to fight her on this. At least now he didn't have to try and find a costume. "Okay, I'll be there."
