After

In the beginning.

Ella and Emily had been going to the same school their whole lives. Although they new each other existed they didn't really pay much attention to each other. Ella Jacks was tall with mousey brown hair that hung in loose ringlets around her shoulders. She was popular. Emily Barker was also tall but her hair was a short Bob cut and she loved to wear sparkly hair clips in it. She was not popular. Ella and Emily had just started junior high at ShellyShores junior high.
Ella only had a mother, she new she did once have a father but she had never met him before. Ella's mum was about as stylish and fun as any mum could possibly be, she wore clothes that were the highest fashion, always took Ella on amazing holidays and shopping trips and she insisted everyone call her Kat instead of Kathrina.
Emily only had a father, she can't remember much about her mother and she doesn't know why she left. Emily's father is one of those dads who love their children so much that they work so hard to give everything to the child that they are barely ever home. Emily's dad insisted her friends call him Matthew not Matt.
The first day of school came quickly and Ella and Emily were both in their bedrooms in different apartments. Ella's themed with rainbows, with a thick plush pink carpet and a princess bed. Emily's was themed with blue and green with a double bed and a television. Both girls were doing the same thing, sitting on their beds in the awful school uniform of blue plaid skirt with a white blouse and yellow tie, staring at the picture of their missing parents. Emily had a photo of her mum sitting on a leather sofa next to her dad eating popcorn and Ella had a photo of her dad in a car waving out the window. 'Ella' said one 'come on sweetie you will be late for school'. 'Emily' said the other ' hurry up the bus leaves in five minutes'.
Little did the girls know that the first day of school would bring many surprises.
