Walk the halls of a religious private school. It's a simple task; what's the big deal? Until you add a few details to the storyline. Walk the halls of a religious private school without wearing a purity ring. Walk the halls of a religious private school holding your girlfriend's hand and watch everybody turn away to avoid eye contact because "it's a sin."My name is Annabelle Contrerez. I'm 16 years old and I'm a lesbian. I go to Rice Rose Academy of Jesus Christ. I have two friends, besides my girlfriend of course. We're pretty close; we go shopping pretty often and I tell them about everything going on. They're the first people I called when I was kicked out of my house for being gay.
I'm closer to Jesse, I guess, since I live with him. He lets Krystall come over whenever she wants. We watch movies together when I'm feeling down and want THIS to end. People mistake him for my boyfriend all the time. It's really funny because I'm gay as fuck.
Kelly on the other hand doesn't think it's that funny. She's his actual girlfriend. Every time she hears someone assume Jesse and I are "a thing" she glares at me and I have to keep myself from bursting into laughter. The first time it happened we were at a softball game and I was up to bat. Jesse cheered for the first time in three innings. "Knock 'em down, baby! You got this!" Someone asked if I was his girlfriend and Kelly glared into my soul and mentally tore me apart. She's learned to control it but I can still tell when she glares.
She doesn't necessarily like me but she also knows what I have to deal with so she tolerates me. I guess we're like sisters that have nothing in common. She has a rad music taste but other than that softball is the only thing we both like.
I'm not sure where I want to go with this or why I even started writing this journal but writing seems better than punching and that's what I felt like doing when I started. I guess I'm done for now. I feel better. Kind of.~A.C.
(A/N): This is my very first story and I'm really excited about it. Tell me if you like it and want more. :-)
