Chapter 1

                    ʏᴀᴍᴀɢᴜᴄʜɪ

Tsukki, My best friend - and childhood crush- is being weird. Yeah, I know he ignores me most of the time, but he's usually not like never talking to me. I know something is wrong.

"Tsukki?"

Tsukki doesn't even turn around. I stared at him for a moment, admiring him. Man, Tsukki is really cool. I continued to babble to him until we reached school.

I'm changing after practice in the club room when I realise:

It's been an entire day, Tsukki hasn't even said one word to me. It's super weird. I just hope he's okay.

"YAMAGUCHII!!!"

The little ginger boy came running towards me.

"Hey, Hinata. what's up?"

"Can you study with me pleeeeease? Yachi-San is doing a new thing where she helps one of us each day, but I want help with something today and it's Kageyama's turn."

"Why didn't you ask Tsukki?" I replied. I'm not sure why. Maybe I should study with him.

"Aw, Saltyshima is a big jerk! He wouldn't study with me anyway. So, what do you say?"

"Sure. what do you need help with?"

"Japanese. I'm really not doing well and [Insert teacher name here] says if I don't get better I'll have to stay in during the afternoons. You know what that means. I'll miss volleyball practice!"

"Okay, sure. What time should I come?"

"Can you come around 7? I think I'll be okay with just half an hour. I'll text you my address!" Hinata dashed off, probably to do some extra practice with Kagyeama. Anyways I better get going. Tsukki is probably waiting for me.

"Mom, I'm home"

"Hey hun! How was school?"

"Alright! Is it okay if I leave at 7 to study with Hinata? He really needs help with his Japanese."

"Hinata?

"Oh! He's in the volleyball club."

"Oh you mean the crazy number 10 everyone is talking about? Well, I'm honoured that you're his friend, Tadashi! Of course you can go! Just be back before 8:30, alright?"

"Of course Mom! See you later!"

"Hey, Hinata. Can I ask you something?"

"What is it?"

I decided that I should ask Hinata what to do about Tsukki. I mean, Hinata is amazing at making friends, maybe he can help me get along better with Tsukki.

"Uhm can you give me some advice?"

"Sure what's up?"

"Tsukki isn't talking to me at all. Do you know what I should do about it? You're really good at making friends."

"Hm. Well, I'm not saying that your bad or anything, but maybe Tsukkishima just likes people who are more like him"

"Alright, Thanks Hinata! See you tomorrow!"

ᴛsᴜᴋᴋɪsʜɪᴍᴀ

"Did you see Yamaguchi today?"

My Mom always asked this. It was getting annoying. Of course I had seen Yamaguchi today. He's always around me.

"Yeah. But I didn't walk home with him today. We was talking to Hinata."

"You should have waited for him." My brother Akiteru piped up. "You know, you should maybe be nicer to Yamaguchi. He is your best friend- Your ONLY friend- after all."

"Thanks, you don't have to rub it in"

"Maybe Tsukkishima just likes people who are more like him"

Maybe Hinata is right. Maybe I should be more like Tsukki.

"Maybe you should be nicer to Yamaguchi. He is your Obly friend after all."

I sat in bed, hugging my pillow. Maybe I should be nicer to him. He's always doing things for me. It would probably be nice to do something for him.
