Alone. Alone. I loved that word. Nobody ordering me around. No officers to screw my day up. No constant reminders of those jerks back on Captain Hank's ship. I studied my pistol. This baby had been through a lot. I strolled through the now vacant square at midnight on the ship Kimberly, twirling my pistol on my pointer finger as I walked along. "Oops," I shrugged at a man who walked up, terror in his eyes, before I froze his face there with a loud BANG! His wife ran away screaming. I would have taken her out too, but she seemed to have a kid waiting for her. Crap. I thought, studying my reflection in an abandoned fountain. You've gone soft. Just to make sure I wasn't going wimp on myself, I lifted my gun and pointed it at the closest girl.
Who pointed hers right back at me.
"Shoot and we both die." She barked, her red lips shimmering in the moonlight. Her skintight leather outfit fit her slender, curvacious form perfectly. I grinned slyly. "No worries, sweetheart. OW!" I cried out as she slapped me. "Quick making a bigger fool of yourself and tell me who the heck you even are," the girl hissed, snapping her gum and flipping her long, jet black hair. "I don't think either of us is the type to do that, honey. How about you just tell me what you're doing, I can help you out and then maybe we can go-" she slapped me again. I deserved it that time though, so I laughed. "Sorry sweetheart. I'm just going for a stroll. What are you here for? Just out charming boys or actually making something of yourself unlike 99% of the population?" She flared her nostrils. "If you think you're funny or something, please shut up. You're a total idiot if nobody's ever told you." She studied her fingernails, painted black of course. I liked this girl, provided she was on my side or something. "Its no joke, miss," I replied, my old position as assistant officer shining through. She rolled her eyes. "Who goes out and kills about 5 people on an evening stroll... Oh god no." I saluted her, taking off running for the door to exit to one of my usual hiding places. "Remember my offer, hot stuff," I called after her just to piss her off, running away laughing as she spat hateful words at me, running the opposite direction. I decided I'd have to see this girl again one way or another. But currently, there were other things on my mind.
