Remember that the waiting and suffering may be long and exhausting, but if you have history with God you don't have to hear or see it, you don't need others to tell you about it because you surely know with faith and confidence that your victory is up ahead! All will come to pass.
Maybe you're waiting up on God to turn things around while in fact God is waiting for you to turn things around. It's just a matter of surrendering, putting aside pride and sincerely asking for an apology even if you knew you should be the one receiving it the most.
Still do it, do it now.
That few seconds might be what God's waiting for to turn things back to how it used to. And in time, God sees it and know that He will give you back the pride you've lost, the forgiveness you shouldn't have asked, the waiting, the sufferring - multifold.
