I finally got out of my last class and I'm excited for my first volleyball practice as manager. I go to the locker rooms. I open my locker and I see a bag. I carefully unwrap it and inside is a jacket. I try it on and look in the mirror

"WE DON'T NEED MEMORIES"

"Huh. It fits me perfectly." I fold Suna's hoodie in my locker and I tie my shoes. I got here way before the others. I set everything up. I get the volleyballs, and the jerseys. I check my phone and it's 2:20. I walk over to the volleyball cart and pick one up. The feeling of having one in my hands is familiar. The round shape, and the curves. It fits perfectly in my hands.

I throw the ball up in the air and practice a couple of sets. I throw the ball in the air and do a jump serve. I jump as high as I can, even better than before and the ball feels perfect against my hands when I hit it. I land and I look at where I aimed the ball but his eyes are the only thing looking back.

Suna picks up the ball, and goes under the net. He approaches me and puts his hand on my shoulder "I got to say princess, that was a good serve. You'll need to do better to stop me" He smirks at me.

He grabs my hands and looks at them for a couple of seconds. "It can't be" He thinks to himself, but says it out loud. He places the ball in my hand. "How did you get those scars?"He says softly. I sit on the bench, I open my mouth to talk, but the gym doors swing open.

"Your king has arrived" Atsumu and Osamu enter the gym. Atsumu looking very enthusiastic and Osamu as well. "Tch" Osamu retorts. Suna gets up and pats my back and heads over to the lockers with the Miya twins.

I feel like I've dodged a bullet. But at the same time, I wished I had someone to talk to. My parent's are busy and my friends are in Tokyo. It's like it's finally hit me. I'm not in Tokyo anymore. I start to tear up, but it's my first day as manager and people are starting to arrive.

Get a hold of yourself, I tell myself while looking down at my hands. "Alright boys!" The coach starts talking. That's my cue. I get up and walk over, I stand next to the coach and get my clipboard. "Everyone, this is y/n! She'll be your team manager. On Friday, we have a practice game with Nekoma-."

Huh Nekoma. Out of all the teams. Nekoma was where my friends are, including him-. "y/n, anything you'd like to say to the team?" I straighten up realizing I've been slouching. "Uhm I just want to say that I'll be here to support you on your journey as volleyball players. I hope I can be a great help to everyone". Everyone clapped and Suna was smirking at me. "Start receive drills!"

The coach left after a little so now I'm in charge. I blow the whistle and everyone huddles up "What's this about?" Aran wonders out loud. "Okay everyone! Listen up. Since I'm new here and I haven't seen you play, we're going to do a practice game. They divide into 2 two teams and they start. Suna is very impressive, he has perfect blocks and can easily do a spike.

Suna's team ends up winning but everyone can improve. Suna walks over to me "See y/n, you'll need to try harder if you want to beat me" He winks at me.

Practice is over and everyone is cleaning up. I look around and I see Suna leaving. "Suna why're you leaving?" I walk up to him putting my hand on his shoulder. "Oh princess, I know you'll miss me but I have places to be" He winks at me and leaves. Ugh he can be such an asshole sometimes. I look back at the team and they've stopped what they're doing to look at us.

I finish putting everything away and I head over to the locker room and change back into my clothes. I put on Suna's hoodie and smell in his cologne. I lock up the gym and I'm walking out when a girl pushes me.

"What the fuc-" I don't have the chance to yell at her when she's already punched me. I can feel blood trickling down my mouth. I spit out the blood and look at this girl. "How DARE you!" She yells at me and I'm not a violent person but "You've messed with the wrong person bitch" I yell back

Ever since the incident, I was so paranoid, I would not leave home. I locked myself up in my room, so I didn't have to hear my parents fighting. It was during this time when I didn't go to school, that I learned self defense. I even got a punching bag and I practiced daily. Where we used to live previously, there were a couple of gangs, and the girls hated me. I learned how to defend myself. So I would never have to feel vulnerable again. So I'd never be the victim.

I get back to my senses and I put my fists up. I land the punch perfectly on her pretty face and deliver quite the blow. "LEAVE HER ALONE!" Someone ,a tall guy who by the looks of it is probably her brother. He has a big build and is muscular. He's running toward me and the girl who attacked me is on the ground. I put my hair up, but before I could punch him I see a shadow, uppercut his jaw. The shadow, looks familiar now.

He turns around, "You okay princess?"
