Plays "Luna" by Up Dharma Down

Genevieve's Point of View

I stopped dancing and tried to catch a glimpse of his face. Maybe it was the drinks talking, but I couldn't help myself; my gaze lingered on him—his eyes, his hair, the sharp line of his nose.

I realized that I was betraying my own sense of control.

I shouldn't be looking at him like this.

Shit. Shit. Shit. What am I even doing?

"Shit ka self, ang gwapo lang yan!" I let out a sigh and glanced at him again.

"But really, Lord bat naman kasi ang gwapo?" I muttered, pouting slightly. I was surprised, he raised his eyebrows, clearly noticing me.

"Tanginang 'to, baka nakakaintindi ng Tagalog," I whispered to myself, and his brow furrowed even deeper.

"Are you saying something bad?" he asked, his expression both curious and amused. Oh God, thank you. Good thing bingi siya at hindi nakakaintindi ng tagalog.

"Me? Why would I say anything bad? No way, never!" I answered, adding an exaggerated shake of my head for good measure, putting on my best innocent act.

Nakahinga naman ako agad ng maluwag.

But seriously, I couldn't lie. This guy was seriously handsome—his jawline sharp and defined, his high cheekbones perfectly sculpted... he looked like he'd just walked out of a dream.

He was caught up in the rhythm of the night, doing his own little dance, until he accidentally bumped into me. And suddenly, I felt his warmth.

His skin had this warm, golden glow that made his expressive eyes stand out even more. Those eyes looked like they could say a thousand things without a single word.

He was the real deal—tall, dark, and handsome. And as I stood there, stealing glances at him, I could feel my heart stumbling a bit.

Sinenyasan niya ako na ilapit ko raw yung tainga ko sakaniya na parang nag aakma bang may sasabihin siya sakin. Agad ko namang nilapit yung mukha ko sakaniya.

He smiled. "I really like our conversation tonight." He whispered.

In the crowded room, despite the blaring music, all I can see is you. All I can hear is you.

"Little things." Pagmamayabang ko. Natawa naman siya.

"I enjoyed your company so much that I might miss— you." He said jokingly..

"You want to kiss me?," I asked.. "Ayan tayo eh, isang tingin. Isang skinship lang naattached na. "

"I'm just joking—"

And then I kissed him...

Ako pala tong bingi.

I don't know for sure, but I know one thing tonight: if I don't do this now, I might never do it.

For a moment, he seemed surprised—his breath caught against my lips. But then, he softened, his hand sliding to the small of my back, pulling me closer as he returned the kiss.

"Oh, shit," I muttered as someone bumped into me.

"Are you okay?" he asked, then turned to the guy who bumped me. "Hey, be careful, man!"

"Yeah. You tastes good—-" Napakagat nalang ako sa lower lip ko.

"Silly" He said.

"Luh, walang sili dito bar to eh." Sabi ko na parang tanga. Nagulat ako ng matawa siya. Ano ba to?

Bakit ba siya tawa ng tawa kahit di niya naman ako naiintindihan? Kaloka.

"Anyways, are you still gonna be here in 2 minutes?" He asked like nothing happened.

"Why?" I asked.

"I'll just go to the bathroom. I'll be back in 2 minutes." He said..

I just nod.

And waited for him for almost 30 minutes to come back.

But he didn't come back.
