*Dan's P.O.V*
"We wish you a merry Christmas,
We wish you a merry Christmas,
We wish you a merry Christmas,
And a Happy New Year!" Everyone sung. Phil and I were at Chris and PJ's Christmas party and the atmosphere was so festive, you wouldn't believe it. There were glasses of spiced mulled wine, mince pies, tinsel and baubles everywhere and holly sprigs on the mantelpiece. There were Santa figurines and chocolate reindeers, marshmallow snowmen, multicoloured flashing lights and what's more, it was snowing. The whole day it had been a blizzard. All the snow had settled leaving a carpet of white in their front yard.
I've always loved Phil, but I don't think he knows that. He's straight as far as I know. I've always to give him a kiss, whether it were just a peck or full-frontal snogging.
Chris turned up the radio. Jingle Bell Rock was playing through it, loud and clear.
"Everyone grab a partner!" Chris said,
"And some mulled wine!"
I got a glass and chugged it. It was so warm and cinnamony; I wish that mulled wine wasn't just for Christmas. Phil had been anti-social in the corner all night and so I went over and grabbed him by the arm to have a dance, just for fun. We got into the swing of things, and eventually it was just us dancing in the centre of the room, people clapping to the song. But when the music stopped, they all looked above where we were standing.
Mistletoe.
Phil was already embarrassed by our rendition of Jingle Bell Rock, so this must've been so hard for him. I leaned in, as did he, and we kissed.
What was surprising was, he didn't want to stop. We stood there for what must've been minutes, kissing beneath the mistletoe. It was so perfect to me - his lips were soft and plump and they slotted right into place with mine. It was like we were made for each other.
I saw Chris and PJ light some candles and put them on the table beside us.
"That's what I call a kiss by candlelight," PJ said.
Chris put on another Christmas song - this time:
"It will be lonely this Christmas,
Without you to hold,
It will be lonely this Christmas,
Lonely and cold,
It will be cold, so cold,
Without you to hold,
This Christmas"
Phil and I hugged and kissed in the centre of the room, moving slowly to the music.
"I love you Dan," Phil said.
"I love you too."

The best Christmas ever.
