HAN'S POV
Closing the door of my room, I sighed heavily. Today was the same as everyday. I went to school and people ignored me, to which I was completely OK with. I have SAD, so even looking at other people causes me to have a panic attack. People think I want to be alone but they are wrong, I want to have a boyfriend, yes I am gay. I think. I am not attracted to girls, so that is the only option.
A knock on the door, startles me bringing me out of my thoughts. "Han, your dad's calling you. We're having a family meeting."
"Yes Omma! I am coming." Why would Appa be calling a family meeting right now? I put my school bag on the dresser and then make my way out of the room and downstairs.
"Han-Wool, come here adeul, we have something important to discuss." He motions for me to sit on the table. As I sit, I see him have a very serious look on his face. "Adeul, do you remember the promotion I got at the beginning of the year?" I nod, Appa was really happy about it. "Well, because of that, I get to work at the main headquarters.."
"That's really good for you Appa." I comment.
"But, you see the headquarters are situated in the USA. So we will have to shift there." He says with some sadness. Oh no! Appa loves Korea. And there is no way that he would ever accept to go elsewhere. I look at him as he looks at me with soft eyes. "I have taken the job, my little boy. So we are all going to shift to USA by the end of the month." He says with a cautious look. If we're going there, it means I will have to attend school in USA, a new place, where people could judge me. I was finally settling in my present school, how will I settle there? And I will be a foreigner there, which means bullying! Oh my god! I- I can't do this.
"Han! Don't panic! Everything will be ok sweetheart! Maybe this will be good for you even! You speak flawless English. So don't worry! We are here for you!" My Omma says.
I don't know what's going to happen, but I am pretty sure that things will change very quickly. And it terrifies me to no end.
