The love for the land I have always cherished since my childhood. When my papi died, my nani still kept up the Vineyards with the help of many loyal employees. When my nani died, it was hard on me and so many others. The employees loved my nani as their own mother or grandmother. She didn't treat her employees as staff but family. She made sure our families and the employees got together every Sunday for lunch after church. Today was Sunday and brunch was being served at my home.

My home is very huge for one person but it's my family home and has been in my family for years. I have a asked recently several of my friends to move in with me and they all agreed. They love me and the love of the land too. Michele Hadid and Mandi Biel work with Juanita Leon at their business. Three established chefs know for their spin on Spanish dishes and two own a third in the business while Juanita owns the rest since it was hers to start off with which happens to be Jane Rizzoli's cousin. Juanita is the person who told me about Jane. I met Jane and was impressed with her vast knowledge on wine. I recently hired her and told her part of the deal was she had to live on the property. My grandparents always have had the wine chemist as I referred to Jane Rizzoli when I place the ad looking for a winemaker who knew their stuff.
My mother and daughter live with me now after Juliet graduated from college from Cornell college and returned to Venice Italy to start her architecture business here with her cousin Carlo Leon Jr. My papi recently died and I asked my mother to move in with me. I live on the everlasting Vineyards as one of Dr. Maura Isles employees.
