Chapter 4 - Names and Rules

(Rimuru's Perspective)

After the battle ended, I decided to just sleep.

I remembered that this might be her first time to sleep. So, I changed into my slime form and jumped towards her.

Well, actually there was one more reason. My female executives like Shion and Shuna used to touch my slime form, bring it anywhere, or even use it as a pillow.

Ciel has been accompanying much, much longer than them. In fact, she has been accompanying me since the very first day of my slife (slime life). So, it wouldn't be fair if Ciel didn't feel it too. That's what I thought.

She caught my slime form with both of her hands. After that, I could feel one of her hands gently stroking my slime body. It was surprisingly... so comfortable?!

She brought me along with her, laying herself on the mattress. She put me beside her, so close to her face.

This was the first time I slept with a girl beside me. I was sure my face would be red like a tomato if I was in my human form.

The fact that she cuddled me after that, made me even more embarrassed.

But I could see her happy smile. If she was happy, then I was happy too.

With that as the last trail of my thought, I slowly fell into my slumber.

I start to regain my consciousness. I slowly open my eyes.

I'm greeted with a scenery of a beautiful girl peacefully sleeping.

For some reason, I can feel my body heating up just like last night.

Why am I embarrassed? I've been used as a pillow by those girls for multiple times. But why do I feel embarrassed now when it's Ciel who does that? She doesn't even use me as a pillow, just cuddle me.

Oh, she seems to have woken up now.

She opens her eyes little by little. When she has fully opened them, she looks at me for a few seconds.

"Uhh... good morning, Ciel," I say to her.

Out of nowhere, I can see the red color starting to spread across her face.

"G-good morning, Master," she responds. She avoids an eye contact with me.

Oh, no. Both of us are embarrassed now.

There's no word coming out from our mouths, just an awkward silence surrounding us. This situation continues for a good number of seconds.

"Ciel?" I try to break the ice.

"Y-yes?"

"Let's get ourselves up, okay? We'll have an important business to tackle this morning."

"O-okay."

I jump then change into my human form in standing position. At the very least, we can get ourselves up, not being trapped by that awkward moment for a while longer then causing our plan being undone.

I tell Veldora to get ready soon.

I've gathered pretty much all goblins and direwolves. Veldora, Ciel, and I walk to front of them then turning ourselves facing them.

"Alright, has everyone gathered? I don't want anyone to miss this important announcement."

""Not even a single one missing, Rimuru-sama,"" reply the chief and the alpha.

"Good. Then, I will properly introduce ourselves. Is there anyone who saw me transforming last night?"

Some of the goblins raise their hands. Other goblins look at them jealously with an expression that says, "What? How could I miss the glorious transformation of our lord?"
