The rain accompanied you as it pattered softly down the palace windows. You sat in the royal banquet hall preparing the forced lesson demanded by none other than Prince Kim Taehyung.

You couldn't help but roll your eyes at some of these questions regardless if you were the one making them. But at the end of the day, you took the job to guide and tutor all three princes, not just two.

You hear the movement of a few dishes being moved around before looking up to see Prince Seokjin coming in with what appeared to be a small cart with tiramisu slices and vanilla bean coffee with caramel cubes. The smell is what indeed brought the deserts together.

"How are you this gloomy morning Y/n? Mind if I accompany you for a few?" You nodded at his words as he sits directly across from you and begins to carefully slice his desert and begin eating. "How has our palace maids been treating you? Feeling like home I would hope?"

You giggle at his kind words before looking at him with a smile.

"Well, I would like to say I feel like I'm at home, except I was never raised in a palace. Other than that, it has been very nice."

You both are briefly interrupted by Seokjin's phone ringing before he picks it and giving you a sympathetic look of apology.

"Dad?"..."Right now?"..."I guess I'll be on my way, are you in the throne room?"..."Alright then, I'll be there shortly."

He sighs in defeat before looking at you with another sympathetic look.

"It appears I am needed in the throne room to speak with the Emperor of Gwangju...can't even get a desert break." He playfully pouts in your direction before cleaning up his dessert and coffee before rolling the small cart back to the nearby bakery window. "Have a great day Y/n! We shall meet again during dinner hmm?"

You both nodded at each other before sharing a wave and he was soon off. The loneliness, however, would soon fade before Prince Taehyung found himself at the table across from you. Just in the seat where his older brother would have sat.

"Tutor? I suppose my lesson is ready hmm? It's been a few hours." You didn't answer the male and instead, gently place a loose sheet of paper in his direction.

"Prince Taehyung, I will ask you the following questions on that paper, please be sure to answer correctly, honestly, and please, no inappropriate gestures." He was already screwed up with your last request as he slowly licked his bottom lip while eyeing you in the process.

"A Prince must be knowledgeable about his kingdom. This will include old myths and legends about his kingdom as well. Can you explain the importance of myths and legends within your kingdom? Explain them to me."

You waited for him to give you a tolerable answer but were instead greeted with silence as his dark brown eyes burned into yours.

"What the hell kind of questions are these? This isn't a kindergarten class!" He let out an obnoxious laugh before returning the paper in front of you. "New questions, Now tutor..."

You roll your eyes and sigh deeply in frustration. There was just no working with this guy...

"Prince Taehyung, this is important to any kingdom! Legends and old myths hold value to the history of one's kingdom. How are you to explain your Kingdom's history without giving any legends to newcomers? How would you strengthen allies or even teach young children about the country's heroes and culture?"

Fed up wasn't a word to explain how you felt at this point. He just didn't get it...How do you even deal with someone this difficult?! He honestly made you want to quit the ENTIRE job.

"You know what? I don't care...I'm leaving."

His eyes followed your body before standing to quickly grab your hand just before you could fully getaway.

"Tutor, I was just being an ass. Let's finish the class..." You quickly snatch your hand away before turning on your heels and nearly collide with his chest.

"I have tried with you more than I have with your brothers! We have had almost five classes together and you dismiss me every time! Taehyung, you are rude and very obnoxious to people...not even just me but your brothers, the maids, even your own father!"

His face hardens at your words before turning to sit back in his seat very slowly. It was as if he was graced with a demon-like presence that was more sinister and intimidating than before.

"Is that how you feel tutor?"

You nodded before turning once again to leave.

"It's you as a person Taehyung. Unless you work on yourself and fix that nasty-ass attitude, you won't ever become a King or gain anyone's respect... As a matter of fact, if I don't see any changes being made towards your character, there won't be any more classes between me or you."

~

That night felt long for Taehyung.

His usual hookups would annoy him more than usual...all of his booty-calls seemed to piss him off to the point where he would simply kick them out. Even dinner that night seemed to last for hours but at the same time go by rather quickly.

Between Y/n ignoring the male for the rest of the day, his brothers belittling and picking at him, and his father's lecturing. Taehyung's head felt as if it were exploding from the inside.

Was he that much of an asshole? It seemed like he had the world in his palm at times. He felt as if he already was king and didn't need some low-budget ass tutor to tell him otherwise.

What was the sudden change of thought?

"Maybe tutor was right..."

He lied in his bed with the heavy comforter covering his bottom half and his bare chest exposed with his arms behind his head. With the fall approaching, the weather seemed to be naturally cooler with light rain at times but overall cold nights.

He looked out to view his balcony and see the rain from earlier has eased to its end and now the waxing moon was making its grand impression in the sky.

The beautiful tree that lied right in the middle of it all caught his attention the most.

"Mom...What have I done?"
