Aashi's POV:

"No way in hell I am going to do this " I declared.

"Aashi please..please marry Rishab" maa said.

"Maa you also how can you expect me to marry my sister's fiance?" I said dumbfounded.

"Aashi please understand. We don't have any other options. The reputation of both the families are at stake. Please marry Rishab." Mamu asked with pleading eyes.

"Mamu I am just nineteen years old and you are telling me to marry and for what...for your bloody reputation." I yelled with frustration.

"Aashi mind your language." Maa shouted.

"Sorry but I can't. I can't when my life is going to be screwed." I said. I was on verge of breaking down but I controlled myself.

"Please Aashi. My own daughter has betrayed me. She has eloped from her own wedding by putting us to shame. Now only you can save our reputation." he sighed. "We all have worked hard to come to this position. If we cancel the wedding then...I can understand it's difficult for you but pl.."
"No you can't " I cut him off.

"You can't understand. Just tell me one thing what will you do when you are being told to marry a stranger out of blue and that too at the age of nineteen...What will you do, huh? Just put yourselves in my shoes for once and think." I shouted at the top of my voice. I was furious.

Maa came beside me and placing a hand on my shoulder she said softly " Aashi I know it's difficult for you but please marry Risabh. Your Mamu has helped us financially during our needs. He has helped us a lot of times. Now it's our turn to repay the kindness."

I looked at her for a moment and asked her, "What about Rishab, will he agree?"
"They don't have any problem, now what's your answer?" Maa asked.

"Do I have any other options?" I said and left the room.

*********

It is said life changes drastically. Today I understood how true the saying is. In a blink of eye my life had turned upside down. Till yesterday I was a happy go lucky girl who was enjoying her life to the fullest. But no, God couldn't see me happy so decided to throw me into this mess.
I had come to attend my cousin's wedding but now I myself was only getting married. Why? Because my dear sister Deepa di has eloped with her boyfriend putting the reputation of both the families at stake and that's why in order to save the reputation of both the families I am getting married. Di wherever you are, you are on verge of marrying your dreamlover leaving me in this mess. Thank you di for such a great deed. I love you di. I chuckled sarcastically.
Thinking of these I got reminded of a proverb.
Karor poush mash to karor sorbonash.
(Translation: What is sport to cat is death to rat.
Meaning: what is good for one may be harmful for other.)
Yeah I was getting married today and too to my sister fiance. I mean just great. JUST FUCKING GREAT.
And you all know what's the most interesting thing...the fact is that I know nothing about him except his name. Nothing means nothing. I don't know kind of person he is, what he do, heck I don't even know how he looks like.
I walked towards the mirror and looked at myself. I was dressed in red bridal lehenga which was supposed to be worn by Deepa di.

"It's happening....it's all happening Aashi you are not been able to do anything...your worst nightmare is coming true. " I whispered to the girl in the mirror.
