I sat in the booth looking around waiting on Kareem to show up. It had been six minutes since I been here and I was starting to get impatient. I hate waiting on people, if you're going to invite me somewhere please be on time. The bell on the door ringed indicating somebody had come in. I looked back and there he was standing there looking around. He looked...good . I mean he's always been good looking but he changed. He had grew his facial hair out he had a bald head and he looked taller and not to mention he looked more buff. He had on a white natica long sleeve shirt with a gold chain around his neck and some baggy black denim jeans and his black timberland boots. I guess he saw me looking cause he smiled walking over to me.
" Naomi...you look good baby. " I gave him a smile, " Thanks Kareem, you don't look too bad yourself. " he thanked me and sat down.
" How you been living ? " he asked going through the menu. I leaned forward placing my elbows on the table, " I've been great, just doing me, you? " I ask opening up my menu as well trying to see what I want. I wouldn't mind having some of Antonio's hot wings. The waitress walked over to us with the notepad in her hand.
" good evening, what can I get you guys ? " she asked chewing on her bubblegum.
" Um-let me get the 10 piece hot wings, mild, and a coke. " I say and she nods writing down my order.
" and you sir ? " she asks Kareem looks up at her and smile.
" I'll have the Same. " She nods and continue writing on the notepad.
" your order will be done shortly." she walks away leaving us two alone.
" I've been cool ever since I got out the penitentiary, I've been making some money since I started back working with blade so I'm good." I nod slowly and looked around seeing four boys walking through the door loudly laughing and talking.
" Shut up man that's not funny. " the pitbull-looking one says pushing the bug-looking one.
The other two dudes just laughed and shook their heads sitting in the booth in front of us. I quickly looked away so they wouldn't see me staring and think I'm weird.
