Chapter 1: Run for your life

Wake up, bitch and make our breakfast!

My brother shouted at me through the mind link.

That was what I woke up to every morning.

I groaned as I rolled out of bed, a thin blanket laid on the ground on the top of the stairs, and down the stairs.

I winced as my already bruised rib hit the edge of each of the hard marble steps of the eccentric spiral staircase.

I groaned when I got to the bottom on the steps, using my weak arms to raise me from the ground.

Just as I got on all fours, to help me get onto my feet, I felt a foot on my side that kicked me back down.

"How long does it take you?" My older brother asked,

Well, that just dampened my good mood, not that I ever had one.

I silently walked into the kitchen and made everyone pancakes and homemade syrup.

I stole a few apples and put them under my top as I waited for everyone to finish eating.

-

I secretly glared as the alpha, Alpha Kory, 'accidentally' smashed the plate on the floor.

I went to get the dust pan and brush when he told me to use my hands.

A sigh escaped my lips to as I bent over to pick up the broken pieces of clay from the ground, wincing whenever I was cut by the sharp edges.

I threw everything into the bin and washed the plates, quickly rushing to my room, the attic, after.

"I hate my life." I whispered to myself, making sure no one heard me.

Suddenly I felt sharp pain shoot through my skull that was followed by more cracks. I bit back a scream as my body transformed.

When the pain had subsided, I opened my eyes in the mirror, to see a black panther, 7 foot tall and jet black. The only way I knew it was me was when I saw piercing green eyes, much like mine, glowing in the mirror.

I opened my eyes and roared, the sound rippled through my chest. I gasped and changed back quickly before anyone saw me.

I smiled. This could be my chance to escape.
