So there's this guy. And you think he's cute. But you don't know wether it's a crush or you just think he's hot? Been there, done that sister!
There's probably a million ways to really determine if you actually have a crush on this guy but I'm going to tell you now, it's not easy. But there's a few stages of a crush I think most girls go through, I know I went through most of them during high school.
Stage 1: When you notice the guy.
So you see this guy and you find the need to know his name. At this point it is completely innocent, I mean all your doing is wanting to know who he is. You think he's the hottest guy in the world and you need to know him.
Stage 2: You need to know MORE!
This is when you come into the amateur stalker stage and you need to know his age, his friends & his classes/workplace. It's still sort of innocent but others think your crazy!
Stage 3: YOU NEED TO KNOW EVERYTHING!!!
This is when you need to know his favourite things, where he was born, what he like to do in his spare time etc. and at this point, your pretty much going crazy! (But not the mentally retarded kind). This is where you discover your insane crush on this guy.
Now of course if your not the socially awkward kind you could go up to him and ask him out. But if you are socially awkward, here's where everything goes a bit pear shaped.
Being socially awkward puts you in the place that you think you aren't good enough, or you'll embarrass yourself if your straight forward with him. And embarrassing yourself in front of a guy you like always feels like the end of the world. I would know.
But advice from someone who is socially awkward and spent 2-3 years of high school being weird about guys (and still doesn't really like to share information about her personal life) it does get easier and the best thing to do is GO FOR IT!
If you get turned down, look at it as a learning experience :)
