"I'll screw you up good when we're done here."
"Keep hoping."
"Oh, I will."
The event was invitation only, and of course, she had one.
Hosted by none other than the Royals themselves, they extended invitations to only the best of the best, people part of high society, the elites. Her name alongside her husband had been the first on the list.
The rising star of the aristocrat world, causing countless uproars with her genius intellect.
Dressed in red, the woman's signature color, she dripped confidence and seductiveness, her curls bobbing as she waltzed into the room wrapped in the finest of fur shawls.
The silk dress sat upon her skin as soft petals, hugging her body so delicately it was almost impossible to not think she wasn't perfect.
The exquisitely smooth, soft texture of the dress, was cool to the touch. Her full-skirted fit long dress flowed on her lithe form as she walked into the room.
She's a breathtaking lady who does not only captivate every man's heart but captivates the eyes of young and old from both genders.
Arm hooked with her husband, they walked alongside the chandelier lit vast ballroom.
Their presence quickly announced as they looked nothing but superior, heads held high, posture perfect and eyes unchanging, emotionless.
She discreetly played with the ring on her left hand, feeling the cool metal and smiled with pride.
The ball was supposed to begin long ago, but no one started without them.
Who would have dared to?
They weren't late, the rest of them were just exceptionally early.
Especially since they had a little rendezvous earlier.
"It's because you took longer than I had expected," Ferio whispered towards her, his eyes surveying the room.
"I wouldn't have had if you were a bit more gentle." Y/n whispered back.
"I didn't know you were wearing silk," he shot back "I thought if was chiffon."
Smiling the charming smile that made people all fall for her, she settled into her chair.
Ferio dutifully pulled the chair for her.
The room paused as the couple seated themselves, all eyes on them. For some, this was their first glimpse of the secluded Elites. They dressed themselves in secrets and rarely batted an eye on the world.
People wondered how the Duke grabbed a hold of her, seeing as she wasn't exceptionally fond of people.
Y/n Evigheden Voreoti, only daughter of the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of the esteemed House of Evigheden.
A powerful woman indeed. Call her cocky but she could have anything she wanted whenever she demands and pleases and she knows it.
She wasn't called the Mother of Beasts for no reason.
She never fails to emit a powerful yet gracious aura, even in combat.
She looked at the man beside her and saw he was already staring at her, his eyes visibly holding anything but love in them.
"Why do you look so lovestruck, Duke Voreoti?" she asked teasingly, gently gliding the tip of her fan on his jawline, "Do I now?" he countered, grabbing her wrist, placing a small and soft kiss on her palm as he never broke eye contact with her.
"Sly." she whispered retracting her hand as the man did nothing but chuckle quietly, the sound sending butterflies on her stomach.
"Only for you, my dear."She rolled her eyes at that, now noticing people walking towards the table.
She smiled at the man, beginning to chat away with the Royals that surrounded their table, all of them cladded with nothing but the finest gems.
"Duchess Y/n, how nice it is to see you!" the prince started, admiring the beauty in front of him.
Truth to be told, he fancied the Duchess, ever since he laid eyes on the woman he couldn't get her off of his mind.
But ever since he found out she was married to that duke, he made it his goal to steal the gem away from him.Not that he couldn't.
Ferio had Y/n wrapped around his finger.
The man gently grabbed her gloved hand and placed a small and gentle kiss on it, Ferio only raising a brow unimpressed at the man.
"Your highness." she voiced with a small serene smile "I wouldn't have missed this ball for nothing, isn't that right Ferio?" Y/n asked, retracting her hand.
She smoothly grabbed a wine glass from a passing waiter who stopped beside her and bowed dutifully before leaving as Y/n sipped some of it, looking at her husband beside her who nodded.
"Is it, after all, it is the last ball of the winter, my wife didn't wanna miss it."
His voice was neutral but anyone would have heard the threat underlying his tone, eyes never unwavering as he smirked slightly, placing an arm around Y/n's seat as he crossed his legs.
His left hand was rested on his lap, leisurely showing his extravagant wedding ring, looking proud as ever over his gloved hand as well as Y/n's.
The man, as if by instinct looked at the Duke's lap, seeing the shiny ring he was obviously boasting.
The prince cleared his throat, sounding quite forceful as he showed Ferio a strained smile, curtly nodding his head at him.
"I see, well now, I must get going to the other guests, please enjoy the night."
The Duke only smirked at him, nodding his head as well
"We certainly will, your highness."Y/n only nodded her head towards the prince, watching him walk away.
Ferio watched the prince stride off, notably hearing his angry mutters and watched with an arrogant smirk, scoffing.
"Did you have to be like that?" she asked not sparing him a glance as she watched the lively room.
"Well you are mine, my wife," he let out, twirling a piece of her hair "Is it wrong if I tell the world that?"
He stared at the woman beside him with a soft smile, grabbing some of her hair as he placed a gentle kiss on it.
"That you chose me, your husband, my dearest?"
She chuckled at that, gently placing her right hand on top of his lap, nearing herself towards his face.
"Boast all you want Mr. Voreoti."
"That I will gladly, Mrs. Voreoti."
