It was official, this was the worst day of Percy Jackson's perilous existence, and thats saying something. The dude had been to Tartarus and lived to tell the tail. This one however takes the blue cake for the absolute worst 24 hours of his life.

It started off as a normal Tuesday at camp, well as normal as it can get anyways. Percy started off his day with being late to breakfast after Annabeth dragged him out of bed. Then came training and attempting to teach the younger campers some sword fighting techniques, which ended when he accidentally impaled one of the rookies legs, a son of Hermès, who was currently in the infirmary unconscious from blood loss, though the pain meds probably helped. After he woke up, which took forever, Percy had tried to apologize to the kid; because that's what you're supposed to do when you stab their thigh, right? But every time he opened his mouth to say 'sorry' the kid would just say it's fine and turn over again. This had been going on for about 6 minutes now and the son of Hermes was looking more annoyed the longer it was dragged on, so Percy finally gave up trying and left.

After that exciting experience he watched as the Aries cabin nailed the stole brothers, literally, they were putting up more barbed wire and had some leftovers, for switching the shampoo in the Aphrodite cabin to white paint again. Really you'd think they would get more creative with it like mixing up the color once in a while, but they had been doing the same prank for more than 3 years now and it never got old to them.

He finished off the day by sitting next to Annabeth watching the waves break on the shore. (Now you're probably wondering how this day was soo bad. Just be patient for like two more seconds i was getting to that) As they watched the sun set Percy heard screaming and crying. Reacting  immediately he jumped up and started sprinting back to camp, Annabeth sprinting besides him.

When they reached the mess hall all they saw was chaos, campers running around screaming their heads off and flailing their limbs, and reeking havoc everywhere. They could faintly hear Chiron yelling for the campers to calm down, but it obviously wasn't working. What was even going on? There were too many body's moving around to distinguish faces, let alone what was happening. Was there a monster attacking the camp? As they searched around for answers a camper stumbled across their path, turning to dust. He was freaking out calling for help, trying to grab hold of anything, but there was nothing that could be done for him. It was too late. and before anyone could even call out his name Austin was gone.

Now they understood why everyone was freaking out. They were crumbling into what looked like ash, left and right and nothing could be done to stop it.Looking around they saw more campers disintegrating. Some Percy didn't recognize, but others he did. One of them was Chris from cabin 11, Clarice's boyfriend. Another was Malcome a son of Athena. He saw Drew, the former head of the Aphrodite cabin, decaying right before his eyes. People Percy had fought with, and almost died with, disintegrating right in front of him.

While trying to process what was going on around him, Percy heard a scream beside him and turned to face Annabeth. The sight before his eyes made his heart stop cold. She was staring at her hands as they crumbled like burning wood. Tears running down her face as she looked up at him, he hadn't seen her this distressed since they faced the Aria in Tartarus. "Percy!" Annabeth cited out to him like he was miles away; he felt like it too. Percy tried to grab her forearms but they soon faded as well. He grabbed her shoulders to try to keep her with him, but in the blink of an eye, she was gone. Disintegrated like everyone else.

It really was the worst day in Percy's life.
