*one month later*

Amelie woke up to rain pelting her window. Slowly shimmering out of the comfort of her bed she got up and walked to her vanity mirror. She rubbed her tired brown eyes and smoothed her auburn hair back from her head into a low messy bun. After putting on her favorite record she lit a candle and started to get ready for her day. When she was done washing her face and brushing her teeth she put on some simple makeup and pulled on her standard uniform a long sleeved sweater vest and a plaid skirt. All her friends hated their uniforms but she didn't mind it, she almost liked the simplicity of it. Her hair still had some curl from the day before so she didn't pay a lot of attention to it. Before leaving her room she stopped the record player, blew out the candle, grabbed her tote bag, and was off.

"Good morning darling" chirped her mother while pecking her cheek. "Im guessing you'll be at the library this afternoon" she smiled while putting her hand on her daughter's shoulder.

"Oh mum you'll know ill be there, I mean I work there and all!" Amelie teased.

"In that case you've been working there all your life!" she replied jokingly. "Goodbye dear, have a good day."

"Thanks mum, you know I will."

Amelie hopped on her bike and peddled toward her school. The streets of London were always so busy especially on Oxford road the most crowded road of all London. Buses and cars passed through and so did tourists, lots of them in fact. Good thing she knew all of the shortcuts to her school or she would definitely be late. She also knew so many shortcuts to the library she loved. The library. Roman. Ugh she hated that her favorite place in the world now associated with the boy she met a month ago. It seemed every time she was there their flirtatious conversations filled her mind. She couldn't stop thinking about his unforgettable eyes or the way he couldn't quite keep his curls out of his face. The way he teased her and the way she teased him back. It all seemed so cheesy and unrealistic to her but it was real all right. That was the problem, she wished that it was just a book she read recently instead of reality. Sighing, she made herself take her mind off him and decided to stop by her favorite cafe and grab a scone.   When she walked in the cafe she breathed in the fresh scent of blueberry scones. She happily smiled as she looked around. Custard and apple crumple and different varieties of scones adorned the shelves. Ughhh those scone look so amazing and she wouldn't mind some tea.
"Hello dear," the cashier lady smiled. "Are you ready?"

"Yes, one blueberry scone and whatever tea you have please."

"Sure love, that'll be 7 pounds" replied the lady sweetly.

Amelie got her pouch out "Oh no I only have 6 pounds Ma'am."

"I've got it." a deep voice rang out behind her. Turning around she came face to face with the green eyed boy she had dreamt about for 4 weeks. "Roman." she couldn't help but let a smile slowly spread across her face but she quickly wiped it off when she realized what she was doing. Hello! this dude totally blew her off.  Roman spoke again "Hello Amelie, it's been a while."
