It still daylight when the two woke up. Hoseok groaned as he stood up, stretching and cracking his back. Yoongi sat cross legged in the car, stretching his arms up high in the air. Hoseok smiled softly and kissed him before going to the back of the truck. There must've been some gas containers in there.

Luck seemed to be on their side, Hoseok grinned victoriously as he saw a red container with some kind of nozel. Yoongi cheered as Hoseok showed it to him. Honestly he didn't really understand how people did this, but thankfully Yoongi did. He showed him how to pour the gas in, filling the tank and putting the container in the backseat. With a full tank of gas, Hoseok and Yoongi continued down the road.

Hoseok didn't know when they'd reach town, even what town they would be in. He hated that all he saw were trees and dirt. Hopefully they'd reach a town soon and maybe get a hotel to stay for the night. Hoseok realized that even if they did go to a hotel, they had no money. Shit, they didn't have anything.

"Hey hyung, check in the glovebox to see if there's any money." Hoseok tells the man beside him.

Yoongi did as he said, opening the glovebox with some difficulty. When the noirette finally got it open a picture fell out and onto his lap. His eyes went wide at what the picture was of. Sir and his daughter, Essie. They were both all smiles, standing together in front of some mountains.

"What's that?" Hoseok asks, then peeked at the picture. "Oh."

Hoseok turned back to driving, not glancing at the picture again at all. Yoongi sighed, thumbing the picture before putting it back. He went back to his previous mission, to find money. The noirette found a wad of it in the back, rolled up with a yellow rubber band. Yoongi glanced over at the younger, noticing how white his knuckles were on the steering wheel.

"You wanna let me drive for a while?" Yoongi asked, noticing how tense Hoseok was.

"I'm good, hyung," Hoseok answered. "Besides, you probably shouldn't put pressure on your ankle."

"Oh, right..."

They continued driving for a long time. Soon enough the trees began to fade and a small town came into view. The two became excited at the sight. Before going to find a hotel, Hoseok ran into a convenience store to grab some snacks and sweatpants for Yoongi. Everyone kind of looked at him weirdly but Hoseok ignored them.

Eventually they reached a hotel, used the rest of their money for a room when doing so. Even though Yoongi could barely keep his eyes open he desperately wanted a shower. Sadly the shower wasn't big enough for two, so he'd have to shower alone. Hoseok kissed the noirette's nose and told him he'd just be in the other room. After a while of Yoongi being in the shower, Hoseok had an idea.

They'd probably need more money soon, plus Hoseok wanted to look for a phone. He told Yoongi through the door he'd be at the truck, though he wasn't sure if he heard him or not. Hoseok went to the truck and searched everywhere, no luck. He opened the glovebox, his last resort, but didn't find nothing but that picture. That mother fucking picture.

Hoseok took it and immediately ripped it in half. Upon doing so, he accidentally grabbed something else. That something else was a small bag of white pills, now laying there on the seat. Hoseok picked it up and stared at it for a long time. He didn't realize how long it'd been until a hand touched his shoulder.
"Shit, you scared me Yoon," Hoseok says, quickly stashing the pills in his pocket as he turned around. "Hyung?"

"I-I didn't hear you go out," Yoongi sniffs, his hair still dripping. "I thought..."

Yoongi looked down, his cheeks and nose red as tears fell down. Hoseok immediately felt bad, going to cup Yoongi's face in his hands.

"I'm so sorry hyung, I didn't mean to scare you," Hoseok says and wipes away the elder's tears. "I said I'd be out here but should've made sure you heard me. I was just looking to see if there was anything else we could use in here."

Yoongi nodded, then looked in the truck himself. He noticed the ripped picture, stared at it with an unreadable expression. He picked up the piece only having Essie and put it in his pocket.

"What'd you do that for?" Hoseok asked.

"Do what?" Yoongi questioned, looking at Hoseok confused.

"The picture hyung, why'd you take it?"

"I just...Essie deserves someone to remember her," Yoongi mumbles, looking away. "It's not fair what happened to her."

"It's not fair what happened to us either," Hoseok said, his eyebrows narrowing. "You of all people should know that."

"Of course I know," Yoongi says, looking up at Hoseok incredulously. "I just wanted-"

"Wanted to what?" Hoseok challenged. "To remember the reason we were taken in the first place?"

"That's not-what the hell Hoseok?" Yoongi exclaimed. "What's your problem?"

"You're seriously asking me that?" Hoseok asks, putting a hand up to his head. "After all the shit's that happened you're seriously-good god hyung."

Hoseok shook his head and that's when Yoongi got even more upset. Why was Hoseok acting like Yoongi was being stupid? It wasn't stupid to want to honor someone's memory was it? Especially someone as innocent as Essie. It was almost like...

"You don't seriously blame her for what happened, do you?"

Hoseok pursed his lips at that, crossing his arms. Yoongi felt heartbroken, already knowing Hoseok's answer.

"Hoseok..."

"Don't treat me like the bad guy here," Hoseok snapped. "She should've known better than to trust whoever it fucking was."

"She was a child," Yoongi hissed. "She was easily taken advantage and sad as that is, it's what happened."

"And yet we were blamed for it," Hoseok said angrily. "Is that something that just happens Yoongi?"

"We didn't have any control over that," Yoongi presses, desperately trying to get Hoseok to understand. "We didn't have any control over what they felt, nor what they did."

"You had control about that drink that guy brought you didn't you?" Hoseok growls, making Yoongi's eyes widen.

Hoseok's eyes widened too, as if he couldn't believe what he had said. Before any of them could speak, another voice chimed in. Hoseok and Yoongi turned to find a police officer walking up to them.

"Good evening gentlemen," The officer greeted them and tipped his hat. "Mind if I ask you a couple of questions?"

Hoseok and Yoongi glanced at each other before nodding. Yoongi shifted, wincing when pain flared up in his ankle. He leaned back against the truck, putting his foot on his other one. The officer looked at him for a split second before beginning his questions.

"So you boys don't seem to be from around here," The salt and pepper haired man commented. "Where are you from?"

"Korea," Hoseok answered in english. "Though we were in LA for a little bit."

"LA huh?" The officer whistled. "I'm afraid you're quite a few miles from there now."

"What? Then where are we?" Yoongi asked, starting to feel panicked.

"Arizona," The officer answered slowly. "It's just one state over. Are you guy's okay?"

"W-we were kidnapped about a week ago or two," Hoseok explains. "I don't actually know how long it's been. We just escaped, we were going to try and relax before going to the police or something."

"You boys don't happen to be those missing pop stars  are you?" The officer asked, to which the idol's aggressively nodded their heads to. "Well I'll be damned, you should've called the police first thing! C'mon, I'll take you to the station and we'll go from there."

Hoseok and Yoongi cheered, their previous argument forgotten. They hurriedly got into the car with the officer, buzzing with excitement. Yoongi gripped Hoseok's hand tightly, seemingly unaware that he was squeezing too tightly. Hoseok didn't mind though, he knew how Yoongi was feeling. They were finally going home.
