2 - New work

You are in. You summon up a confident smile on your glowing face and walk in, to face your first day. You see the boss arranging his table properly and go stand in front.

"Good morning Sir.. "
You say polietly gaining his attention.

"You here..!"
He chimes, as you flash him bright smile.

"Miss Lily. Here's our new worker. Give her the apron and explain her things.. "
He instructs the other good looking young girl maybe of your age and turns towards you.

"You can be as you can.. "
He says smiling, decreasing the constant thumping of your heart due to nervousness.

"Sure sir.. "
You reply back giving him a sweet smile as he did.

You walk into the counter towards the kitchen as the scent of fresh baked bread hit your nostrils.
Umm.. you hum in satisfaction as the smell is so tempting for your foodiee stomach.

"Heya! I am Lily... "
The co-worker introduces herself as you smile at her, giving your introduction.

"So yeah! You don't need to be tensed. Our boss is a nice person. I hope you can easily cope up with us.. "
She sweetly delievers her words in a very friendly nature as you ever seen. She finally smiles at you, imposing you a good impression of her.

"Yeah I guess.. "
You manage to talk with a confident tone and leaving a smile after.

You never been with someone nor even talked. It's really hard for you to be so friendly with others. Basically you are an introvert, you keep all your happiness and sadness only to yourself, your pain and smile are always within you.

You wear the required apron given by Lily. It's a white apron with only three decorative buttons on the above vertically and the borders were given a black colour. You spin around taking a look at yourself and a grin on your face never leaves.

Looks like a professional..
You compliment yourself and then a silly chuckle leaves your lips.
You tuck your hand in the small pocket given at your side, you do a tiny jump like a kid who got their favourite toy.

Lily helps you to know how to arrange things, to receive the customers with warm greetings. She gives you the details about the arrangment of items in the display rack. As it's your first day, you are not given much work to do other than watching the other doing it.

You slowly tried to understand the things and to cope up.

It's already been two days, you are working here. But never you spoke a word. Lily always talks to you even though you don't give a proper reply, she still keeps talking to you for which you can't say no. It will sound rude.

You are arranging the confectionery neatly in a well decorated box and then you see Lily walking to you.

"So, you are busy.. "
She says, as you only nod your head.

"Don't you want to talk to me..? "
She speaks in a low tone making you to look at her small visible pout.

Cute.. You think to yourself as a small smile creeps on your lips. She is really a sweet and friendly one. She never made you feel alone, giving you all the attention she can and keeps talking to you always. You somehow felt good around her. The first person to make you feel like this. But you are nervous, because you didn't talk to anyone before.

It's okay. Speak to her. She may think you are cold.
You think once again before opening your mouth to speak.

"I-I am sorry.. ''
That's the first, came out from your lips.
Always giving a one word answer, hums and only nods are your words. But only now you gave a full one sentence as response.

"I actually don't talk much. I don't know how to respond so I better keep silent. Don't take me rude.. "
You explain and look at her, waiting for a reply.

"So you say that you are an introvert?.. "
She asks for confirmation as you slightly nod your head accepting the truth.

"Oh, well I don't mind. That's your personality not to talk much. And I keep talking alot. You can happily reach me whenever you want to. No need to feel nervous.. "
She chimes and gives a sweetest smile.

"I am glad.. "
You mumble feeling better.

"Hm.. Good.. "
She says not forgetting to leave a smile after.

"By the way, we have a guy named Joe. He is just like a savage brat. He is too stubborn and headstrong.. "
She explains and then leaves a sigh at the last part of the sentence.

"Anyways you have me.. "
She says and winks at you, grabbing the tray from the table.
You stay there, giving her a smile and then chuckling at yourself.

"Miss Y/N.."
You hear your boss calling out for you.

This is not a very big bakery. A cute and small one, with a very good atmosphere around. Which can simply attract one's attention.

You soon walk to your boss as he smiles at you. He always be sweet to everyone. A smile never leaves his face, which easily make other to smile at him. He gestures you to take a seat as you obey.

"I didn't get much time to talk to you.. "
He says looking at you and you give him a nervous chuckle.

"Don't need to be nervous. I just want to make sure that you are doing good here.."
He mummers.

"I am good sir.. "
You retort giving him a sure assurance.

"Yeah.. That's great.. "

"By the way, where you're from..? "
He suddenly questions you as your smile is ready to fade away.
But you still try not to think of your hopeless, dull life and shrug it off by holding a grin.

"I just moved here recently sir.. "
You speak in a low respectful tone as he nod his head as a reply.

"Oh, What 'bout your parents? Do they stay in hometown..? "
He spits the question as your mind suddenly gets off. It's hard to act as if you are unaffected. A silly chuckle leave past your lips as you mumble
I am my dad and my mom..

He surely heard something but didn't ask you what. You finally bring your head up to meet his eyes and give him a smile, obviously a weak one.

"I have no one.. "
