Not Bad As You Think

Kyoka Jirou is one of the best knight from the South (insert kingdom name) who are protect the kingdom from the demon and barbarian who are a enemy from her kingdom eyes.

They only let the elf to be around the city, a trusted one.

One night, Jirou having a patrol alone. She walking around the wood as they used to have people sneak in from there.

Once her movement stop when she saw a demon is relaxing on the tree.

"Uh, I'm sorry do I passed the barrier?" The demon said. Jirou don't hesitate to attack without left a word.

The demon hissed as the knight cut her hand with the knight sword. The (hair colour) demon hand covered with blood as Jirou give her a deep cut.

The demon don't have other way than kick the knight off and run as far as she can.

After few minutes of running she stop and hide. She hope it's already far enough since demon are faster than human.

She panting before rip her some part of her cloth, wrap it around her wounded arm.

As she was about to leave, she heard someone screaming.

"DIE!!"

She rush over where the sound from and found a barbarian fighting with the knight she met before.

Is wasn't her deal right?

Suddenly her body move, blocking the knight from getting hit.

"MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS, YOU MONSTER!!" The barbarian yell but the demon don't care about her safety anymore.

Jirou look over the demon that are in front of her, protecting her from the barbarian.

She watched those two fighting. An unfair match where the demon fight with a bare hands. Added with her condition because of Jirou action earlier.

As she saw the barbarian about to kill the demon she block it. She want the demon head by herself.

"Go away asshole" She said.

"You better remember me! I'll have you head later!" The  barbarian glare at them and walk away.

As there only two of them Jirou point her sword to the demon.

"Why are you saving me?!" She ask harshly.

"I just want to help!" she said in sort of a scare tone. She wasn't able to anything with her condition now. Blood is everywhere around her body. Not even sure is able to walk or even move.

"Like I believe that! You just want to eat me don't you?!" She put her sword closer the demon neck.

"No! Please spare me!" The demon said.

Jirou rolled her eyes and walk away. As just walk a few step she heard a hissed.

"Ow..." Jirou look back. Look over the demon who having a problem to walk. Every time the demon stand up, she will fall back after few step of walking.

Suddenly feel sympathy over the demon. Well, she's the reason the demon got into near death experience.

She sighed, walk back to the demon and put the demon hand to her shoulder. The demon hissed is pain but Jirou don't care.

"What are you doing?" The demon ask.

"I'm just being nice. Just show me where you live" Jirou said without looking at the demon.

Both of them lead to the dark cave where the demon use to stick around.

She put the demon on the ground and start making a bonfire.

"Thank you.." The demon mumbled.

Jirou don't answer, she just rolled her eyes.

She walk toward the demon, ripped some of the her clothes and use it to cover the demon wound.

The demon hissed it pain as Jirou wrapped it roughly.

"What's your name?" The demon ask.

"Jirou. My shift should be over, I'll see you around I guess" Jirou said while ready to leave.

"Alright. My name is (l/n) by the way" The demon smile even she know Jirou won't saw that.

As Jirou already a bit far from her, she shouted "Thank you!"

The demon is (y/n) (l/n), a kind demon who refused to harm human but to protect them. She sympathy for the weak being that always been target by the other demon and some of the witch.

It's been time (y/n) and Jirou been friend, even Jirou denying that.

"So why would demon eat human?" Jirou ask.

"Well, for what I know human body is like a drugs and human blood are like a wine for the demon" (y/n) said.

"You never eat human before?" Jirou ask.

"Nope, I'll eat what human eat" (y/n) said. "Except for vegetable, I hate it" she added.

Jirou chuckle as she heard the demon last sentence. "Not only you. Some of human also refused to eat vegetables, so I can say it's normal"

"Oh I though just me" (y/n) giggle slightly.

"Jirou look what I got!" (Y/n) shouted happily. She raised her hand that are holding a big fish.

Both of them eat happily before Jirou back to the kingdom, continue her work as a knight.

Times have passed both of them have been close that how they could remembered. Both have develope feeling for each other and (Y/n) decide to confess her feeling soon.
