~Dreaming out loud~
Most people would laugh when I say that I live under a rock. I live in France, which is basically cut off from the rest of the world. My name is Skye Baltimore. I am 13 and I have long blonde hair with blue eyes. Music is my life. I live it, feel it and it helps me get through the toughest things in life. It all started one day when I discovered a video of me singing on YouTube in the featured videos. My mom had uploaded it and it had over 2 million views. I didn't think to much of it then until my mom called me while I was in P.E. "Come to office, we need to go to L.A" I excused myself from P.E and ran to the locker rooms , grab my clothes, change and run to the office.
My mom was sitting in one of the guest chairs.
"Skye,honey. Some producers called, they want you on a talk show called something like the Ellie show." She told me.
"You mean Ellen?! Is this a joke?!" I demanded.
"No, they want to fly the whole family to L.A."
That did it. I was officially dreaming.
"Wow." I breathed. "This is... Amazing."
We then picked up my two sisters and went home to pack.
"Pick something nice to wear on the show, honey." my mom said
"Ok mom"
I picked my pink, black and white cheetah print tank top, with a white vest and dark blue skinny jeans.
~~~the next day on the set~~~
Wow, everything is so much bigger than on T.V! I thought. A guy clipped a microphone into my tank top and said, "you're on in 2 mins. Wait for your signal."
After a little bit, I got my signal to get on stage. I walked out to the stage and sat down in a chair across from Ellen.
"So,Skye. You went from being a normal girl to YouTube sensation!! How does that make you feel?" She asked.
"Well, actually, I can't believe it, I feel as if I'm dreaming."
"So your mother posted the videos without your knowledge?"
"Yeah, I had no idea until I saw it in the featured videos. "
"That must have been such a shock for you." she asked me a couple more questions than asked me what I was going to sing. I chose Enchanted byTaylor Swift.
After I finished she told me that I had a beautiful voice and she said that she was going to sign me to her label Eleven Eleven.
"OH MY GOSH!! Are you serious?!" I exclaimed.
"I'm very serious." she told me.

For the next couple weeks it was hectic. I was on Entertainment Tonight, CNN and loads of others.
After a while Ellen called again and said she wanted me on the show again.
When i got to the set She asked me about who inspired me.
"The people that inspire me are probably Katy Perry and Greyson Chance." I told her.
"You like Greyson?" she asked me.
"Yes, I love his music and he is so down to earth. I hope to be just like him."
"Well then, we have a surprise for you then." She grinned.
"You cant be serious."
Then "Waiting outside the lines" started playing over the loudspeakers.
"Skye Baltimore, meet your idol and record label buddy, GREYSON CHANCE!!" She yelled as Greyson Chance walked in.
A staff member pulled up a chair for him and he sat down next to be.
"Hey Skye."He said
"Hi." I said
"So,Greyson, How about singing us a song?" Ellen asked him.
"Ok."
He went and sat down at his piano and started playing Waiting outside the lines.
"Skye,How about you help me with the vocals?" He asked me.
"Oh my god yes!" I went over and sat down next to him and started singing.
After we finished Ellen Hugged both of us and told us that our voices go really well together and we should writes song together. I grinned and waved bye to everyone and walked off. Greyson followed me.
"So,Skye do you want to get some lunch with me later?" He asked me.
"Sure,let me text my mom." After a couple seconds, she replied. " Kay, I can go." I told him.
"Good, I know this really nice place. Do you like Mexican?"
