"Are you done Abygail?" my mom asked. "Of course, mom. And call me Aby." I replied. I had just finished unloading the last box. I sighed as I watched the moving truck drive away. It's not like change should surprise me because my parents are divorced; I'm going to a different school (when it starts back up), I don't know anyone around here, and my parents live in 2 separate houses. The only thing that's the same is that I still like One Direction. Speaking of One Direction, I still need to take my last box (the one with all my 1D merchandise) into my new room. I pick up the box and trudge to my room. It has turquoise walls with a hot pink stripe outlined by white across the middle of each wall. My bedspread and lamp look just like the wall. I had a white dresser/ book shelf in one corner and a desk in the other.
I also had my own bathroom and a walk in closet. I guess moving isn't so bad. I reached into my sock and removed a pocket knife to start cutting open the boxes.

It had only taken half an hour but I was all unpacked. All I need to do is hang the last 1D poster. I jumped onto my bed and began to tack a Harry Styles poster to the wall. I lightly pushed the last pin into the wall when in caved in on itself. Crap! I haven't even been here an hour and I've already made a hole in the wall! A perfectly square hole? I examined the hole more closely. It's not a hole, it's a secret compartment! And it has something shiny in it. I slowly reached into the hole and removed a golden pocket watch with a simple design of swirling lines on the the front. The swirls seemed to waver for a moment before forming an 'A'. I rubbed my eyes. Still an A. Weird.
"Aby! I have a pair of your earrings! I'm coming to give then to you!" My mom said, walking up the stairs.
I quickly closed the secret compartment just as my mom burst in.
"Here you go Abs!" My mom chirped, then she saw the watch I was still clutching in my hand. "What's that?"
"Nothing..." I said, putting my hand behind my back.
"Abygail Riley Smith, show me what's behind your back!" My mom said
I sighed and pulled out the watch. My mom just glanced at it and left muttering about 'crazy teenagers'. I picked up my flyers and followed her out. Since it was summer, I decided I was going to earn some cash by babysitting. What better way to advertise then to put up flyers? I pasted the flyers everywhere. On lampposts, mailboxes, trees, even a car! I watched a lady rip a tab with my name and number on it off the bottom. I smiled and walked back home with a spring in my step.

After eating dinner, I went straight to my room and grabbed the watch. Still had an A on it. I decided to set the watch. Free watch why not use it? I opened it up and examined the watch. It was a regular watch with the number 18 on the bottom. Checking my phone, I set the clock for 8:43 PM. Then I put it on a golden chain, put it around my neck, and got into bed.
