Kennedy Jones was, as far as anyone could tell, an average 73 year old. He had been a very successful business man in his day. At 25 he was married and had started Jones INC. a car manufacturing plant, centered in Nevada. He retired at age 70, selling the flourishing company to a young Chinese man for 50 million dollars.
September 23, 2005 was an average day as far as Jones could tell. There was a cool crisp breeze and the leaves were just starting to change color. He got out of bed, put on his robe, and helped himself to breakfast. As he finished his cereal he noticed a stillness in the air, as if all the animals were holding their breath. Too late he realized what it meant.
Janet Martinez was sipping coffee at 6:30 AM when a man, dressed in a black jumpsuit, passed by her house, he had a large metallic brief case in his hand. She thought it was early for a man to be headed to work but didn't think about it until the next day, when she heard the scream.
