Dragging the pencil down the page, she sketched out the lines of her drawing. It was of a plant since she didn't have anything else to do. She was listening to her father and Mr Nam speak of course, but she had more concentration for her art than their lawyer work.
Although, despite her lack of interest it was the first time in a while where she was actually wearing something work appropriate. She had on a brownish pink fitted t-shirt that had a slight texture to it making it look formal, and it was tucked into a baby pink chiffon pleated skirt that went just below her knees and she had a pair of nude heels on as well. She'd left her hair down since she doubted they'd leave the office.
"Right here, this is what I meant."
"Earlier, you said-"
"Sir," Vincenzo called out, and Ha-yun looked up at him in surprise. She hadn't heard him come in.
"Yes?"
"I need us to go somewhere."
"Uh, where?"
Oh, well, she'd made a mistake then.
Vincenzo was the first to enter Babel E&C's building with both Mr Hong and Ha-yun behind him, she'd put on her formal coat that she usually wore in court and she had her hands lazily placed in her pocket. She'd tucked her hair behind her ears and spent the entire car ride grumbling about how they could have warned her so that she didn't look like such a mess. She had the curse of rather frizzy hair so when left natural it didn't look as sleek and professional as her sister's did.
"They won't see you without an appointment," Mr Hong said to Vincenzo.
"I think they will."
"Huh?" Ha-yun asked looking at him confused.
They approached the front desk, "how may I help you?" The woman asked.
"Mr. Na Deok-jin of investment and Development, please."
"Do you have an appointment?"
"No."
"Then I'm afraid the meeting is impossible," both Mr Hong and Ha-yun looked at the Italian lawyer confused waiting to hear what had happened and how he was so sure of himself that whatever he was going to do was going to work.
Vincenzo pulled out his brief case before pulling out an envelope which read 'bill of indictment' although from the position they were in neither Mr Hong or Ha-yun could read it. "Tell him he has a bill of indictment for threatening and abetting an abduction."
Ha-yun's eyes widened and the woman behind the counter quickly moved to make the phone call, "how did you get that?" She asked, leaning in closer so that she could whisper. Vincenzo didn't respond.
The three ended up sat opposite the man who'd originally tried to make a higher offer to Mr. Cho. He laughed, "unbelievable. All right, let me see it."
Vincenzo pulled out the document before placing it on the table and the man gestured for him to bring it closer. Mr Hong all but slammed it on the table, and the man slammed the table himself annoyed. He moved to open it but found nothing inside of it.
"It's empty," Vincenzo said and both the Hongs looked at him confused, "I lied so that we could have a chat."
"Haven't we paid you enough, already? Why are you still hounding us?"
Ha-yun sighed looked away, there was no point in her being there then if there were no legal documents. "We're not hounding! We're just trying to do what's right."
