Raven was her name. He found out just before the two of them fell into bed together. And that was okay, it wasn't as if they were courting each other or something. It was a completely consensual fling.
The night satisfied both of them and he didn't know about her but he wasn't ready for their little rendezvous to end quite yet. The following morning, he suggested that they go out for breakfast.
Although she held a look a of reluctance on her face for a second, she nodded anyway. He was a very observant person - so the fact that she agreed even though she was a bit hesitant about it meant that she was willing to take a chance on him. Well, that was his observation anyway.
They went for breakfast followed by a walk in the nearby park. The conversation drifted from topic to topic when she suddenly held his gaze. Her hazel eyes steady but holding a glint in them. As he tried to figure out what exactly that glint was, she spoke up. "Let's get tattoo's together", so that was the glint then.
Too shocked to say anything, he stood there staring blankly at her. "Sorry. Just forget it. I tend to get crazy ideas. Both a pro and con of being spontaneous", she laughed nervously. "I didn't say no", he quickly piped up. Her head shot up at his response.
And that was how they ended up at a local tattoo parlour at exactly 12am. When they left the parlour, hands intertwined - they had a matching little Eiffel Tower to represent their time together in Paris.
A thought came rushing at him as they walked the streets. "What if after this.. we never see one another again?", he voiced his thoughts. She pulled him in by his shirt collar for a kiss. And with her slow breaths on his lips, she said, "Then at least we'll have tattoo's together".
