Warwood Academy
Day One."You're going to be late." Jessy said as she opened the door to her daughters bedroom for the fifth time that morning. Kiera had her blue comforter pulled back over her head. A habit her daughter had formed years ago to keep the noise from her siblings from waking her.
The sun was streaming in through her open curtains. Shining on her packed luggage. She was going to miss having her daughter in the house but she'd be joining her siblings at the academy. Jessy was just used to always having at least one kid at home with her.
"I'm up." Kiera lied as she pulled the blanket over her head. Jessy rolled her eyes and snapped her finger. The blanket pulling itself back and exposing the sleepy mess that was Kiera.
"I'm serious. If you're not there on time you'll make a bad impression. Do you really want to start the next 7 years on a bad foot? Your brother made that mistake and he's the only one in his group that still needs to do extra credit."
Jessy says as she sits beside Kiera on the bed. Kiera grumbles but begins to get up."Fine. I'm up, I'll get dressed."
She says, her red hair splayed across her face. Her green eyes shining with excitement. Kiera was the last of her siblings to go to Warwood Academy. She'd find out which group she was assigned to and which color she'd represent. Her eldest sister, Genevieve, was assigned to the Amethyst Wing. She was intellectually gifted and excelled in potion making and spell writing. She was in her last year of school. Genevieve always got straight A's. She was tall, slim and had big brown doe eyes. She had blonde hair and she seemed to have it all. In Kiera's eyes anyway. Genevieve and Kiera never really got along. With there being a 7 year age gap between the two they hardly saw each other.
Her eldest brother, Lachlan, was a year younger than Genevieve and was assigned to the Emerald Wing. He excelled in taming wild beasts. He was sporty and his team often won their pyrang games. Lachlan was tall too. He had brown hair and blue eyes. His hair was sort of curly. Kiera used love trying to braid his hair when he was home for the holidays.
Next up were Emma and Lilly. They were twins but could not be more different. Emma was assigned to the Sapphire wing. She was musically gifted and excelled in melodic powers and some really bizarre things that Kiera couldn't even begin to understand yet. Lilly, on the other hand was assigned to the Opal wing. They were the kind that sort of excelled at everything they tried.
Emma and Lilly were sort of short. They were around 5.4. They had green eyes and dark brown hair. They had a birthmark behind their left ear. They were only 2 years older than Kiera. They were in the same group, luckily. Kiera didn't think they'd do too well on their own. Then there was Jack, he was a year older than Kiera and was also assigned to the Amethyst wing. He had black hair, black as a ravens feathers. He had blue eyes that often got girls to like him. He was tall and well spoken. He worked hard and hated his group. He was stuck with a group that didn't care about working hard. They just wanted to have fun. Jack was miserable but excited for his sister to join. Kiera and Jack had always gotten along really well.
Kiera has no idea which wing she'd be assigned to and she was scared to find out. There were six wings in total.
Amethyst for the brainy kids.
Emerald for the sporty kids.
Sapphire for the music kids
Pearl for the kids that are just gifted.
Ruby for the brave, fearless and generally those who seem to have no survival gene. Kieran had met some ruby kids and they may be brave but no one else is willing to go swimming with a bunch of snakes. Who does that anyway? Kieran was sure Ruby was definitely not a category she'd be placed in. She was a huge baby when it came to scary things.
And Citrine. The citrine wing was for those born with... abilities. Abilities you can't just learn. Very few students made it into the Citrine hall
