Chapter 5

Me and Clint got up and Steve said "Alright let's suit up." I nodded and we all got in our suits. We walked to the machine and got mentally prepared. Steve said "We have one mission. We get the stones and we get out. Some of us are going to familiar places but don't except to know what's there." Rocket said "He's pretty good at that." I smiled and said "See ya in a minute." We went through the quantum realm and got to morag. I said "Alright. Girls go together. Boys go together." Everyone nodded but Bruce. I walked up to him and grabbed him hands. I said "Bruce it will be ok. I'll come back to you I promise." He nodded and I got in the ship then Nebula. Nebula said "Do you love him?" I was confused by the question and said "I mean yeah! Of course I do." Nebula said "Then I will be the sacrifice." I didn't get to respond before we went into hyper speed and reached Vormir. We got out and Nebula started up the mountain. I ran after her and said "Nebula I know we barely met but this is crazy! It's suicide!" When we got to the top and I failed at changing her mind red skull greeted us. We both got scared and he said "Natasha Romanoff. Nebula. I have been awaiting your arrival." I nodded and said "We are here for the soul stone." He said "A soul for a soul Miss Romanoff." I looked at Nebula. I said "See you can't go! You don't have a soul! Not to be rude or anything but you don't. Also I'm not letting you." She didn't respond until I was forced down and she said "I will stop Thanos." I ran to stop her but the time I got to the edge she had hit the ground . I felt horrible. It was my fault I couldn't save her. I may not have been close to her but I cared about her and I knew her past was like mine. I closed my eyes and when I opened them I was holding the stone and I was sitting in water. I got up and saw Nebula. I ran towards her and said "WHY! Why would you do that!" She said "Go. Stop Thanos and win this battle dont let my sacrifice go to waste." I nodded and she disappeared. I traveled back to my time and everyone was talking I waited for someone to notice me and Steve was the first one. He said "Nat! Did you get the stone?" I walked up to him and grave him the stone. I said "This better work or she died for nothing." I walked away from everyone and went to me and Bruce's room. I sat on the bed and tears came down my face. I barely knew her but it felt like I had always known her. Someone knocked on the door and I wiped my tears. I said "Come in." Bruce walked in and closed the door. He sat down next to me and said "You've been crying I see." I said "No I haven't." I looked away from him and he pulled my face back towards him. He said "Yes you have." I sighed and said "Barley knew her. It just felt like it was wrong that she died the same way as her sister." Bruce had let go of my face and was now holding my hands and said "She did it do you could live. We will stop Thanos in her name." I nodded and hugged him.

When we walked out of the room there was a gantlet sitting on the table. I said "You guys did it." I smiled and Tony said "Who's gonna snap?" Groot said "I am groot!" Rocket then said "No you're not groot." Groot picked the gantlet up anyways and snapped. Everyone closed there eyes as a bright light shines over us. I opened my eyes and saw groot burnt up his arm. I covered my mouth in shock. Everyone had opened their eyes by now and saw Groot. I said "Wow he did it..." we all cheered and then everything exploded. Bruce quickly grabbed me and we fell under the rubble. I was breathing heavily and then I heard water. I yelled "BRUCE WATER!" I turned and saw him going green. I didn't stop him. We needed a little hulk. The water rushed over me as a heard a roar. I couldn't get up. I was drowning I was gonna die here! I tried to get air but I couldn't. I went down and blacked out.

When I woke up Clint was giving me cpr. I could hear him yelling "GUYS SHES NOT WAKING UP!" I choked on water and Clint rolled me to my side. I spit the water out and Clint said "Hey Nat it's ok just breath." I started to breath steadily then I sat up. Clint said "Nat I know you just got up but we gotta go we gotta fight." I nodded and got up. I started fighting with Clint and we fought. We fought for our lives. We fought for Nebula.

It came down to when blowing up ships thanks to Carol and having to snap again we didn't know what to do. Carol grabbed the gantlet and snapped. Thanos's entire team disappeared and then he disappeared. We had won. I saw Wanda and called out to her. She saw me and she ran towards me. I grabbed her and hugged her tight. My baby was back she was with me again. I started to cry and so did she. I pulled away from her and said "I missed you so much." She said "I missed you to." We stared at each other then I put our heads together. I pulled away again when I heard roars in the distance. I turned around and saw hulk going ham on a piece of the building. Tony landed next to me and said "Time for a lullaby Romanoff." I nodded and ran towards him. Once I got to him I said "Hey big guy." He turned and looked at me and I continued "The sun's gettin real low." I stared at him as he slowly transformed back into Bruce.
