You know, loving someone is truly difficult—at least it seems so for me.

Aditi, my love.

I still remember the first time I saw her. She was wearing a baby blue crop tee, and her silky hair was left unruly.

Her Laugh. Her Smell. Her sweet voice. Her glittering eyes.

I remember every small detail of that moment. She looked so beautiful that I literally felt my heart skip a beat. It was love at first sight for me.

My love for her is always called off as infatuation by everyone. I laugh it off in front of everyone, but it hurts. I really love her. I'm not some silly, obsessed guy who can't get over her because she won't look at me. In fact, I wouldn't even mind if she didn't look at me. I just want to see her happy, even if it's not with me, though I wouldn't be that bad if for once she would look at me and not at her on-and-off loser boyfriend, Krish. She deserves so much better.

They have broken up recently again, and that is the reason why I came up with this fake relationship-make her jealous plan. I want to take this chance to woo Aditi again before that fucker returns.

"Hii!! Dude, what's wrong?" Abhay, my buddy, asked me.

"Nothing, just a headache," I lied, though it was not a complete lie because if I continued going down memory lane, I would soon get a headache for sure.

"That's sucks. Wait, I will make you a cup of tea; it would help with your headache." he says as he brings out all the ingredients to make the Indian tea and puts the water to boil on the stove.

Abhay is the type of friend that everyone needs in their life. He is a good listener and knows how to solve every problem. I can tell him anything and everything because I know he is never going to judge me.

But today, for the first time, I couldn't tell him about the drama I am going to put on soon (of course, only if Mira agrees to the plan).

Why?

Because Abhay and Samira have a deep platonic relationship. She would never lie to Abhay. She is like a closed book to everyone, but my best friend, Abhay, managed to open and even read that book.

Oh. My. Gosh. I forgot.

What if she tells Abhay about this fake thing?

He will kill me!

He is too protective when it comes to Samira, as he sees Khushi (his younger sister) in her.

He has multiple times warned me to not mess with Samira or I will face his wrath. That's why I didn't tell him about this plan, as he will refuse it in a breath. On top of that, Abhay doesn't like Aditi much, so he never helps me out when it's about her, but Mira would help me like she always does.

I am so lucky to have her as my friend.

I hurriedly took out my cell phone and texted her before she says anything and mess everything.

💬 Hii!! I hope the talk we had today at the cafe remains just between us.

💬 I haven't even talked about this with Abhay, so you know how important and hush-hush it is.

💬 I will be waiting for your answer.

"So where were you?" Shiv asked, passing me the mug filled with hot tea to gulp down. I picked up the tea, muttered thanks to him, and took a small sip of it.

"I went to the supermarket...." fuck! That sounded as if I was not sure about what I just said.

"And why?" he asked suspiciously. I can't blame him for being wary about my reply because I have people to do that for me, so obviously it doesn't sound like a plausible explanation.

"To buy cosmetics." I hurriedly answered.

He laughed and said, "Really, cosmetics?" Urgg..again I made a fool out of myself.

"Men-cosmetics dude. You know, like shaving cream, aftershave, etc." I said trying to justify myself.

"And why did you go and shop for yourself by yourself suddenly?" he asked, teasing me.

"I can shop for myself by myself!"

"Why do I find it hard to believe? Did you fire Veer? Dude, you know that you can't function properly without him, and I'm sure no one other than him can handle your tantrums. Hire him right away again."

"Really? From which direction did the sun rise today?"

"ABHAY!"

"Ok! Ok! I believe you," he said in a mocking tone, still laughing.

To change the topic, I asked him, "So why did you call me here?"

As soon as Mira left, I got a call from Abhay, and he said to meet him at his place as soon as I find the time to, so here I am at his place.

"Oh yeah! In two weeks, it's Samira's birthday, so we have to plan a surprise for her, as this time even Sharan and Gauri Bhabhi are coming too."

What? Sharan is coming!

Oh god! Now I have to execute my plan soon if I want it to actually work.

Sharan Dixit is a tough man to deal with, and on top of that, I don't know why, but yeah, I'm sure he hates me. I mean, he doesn't say it directly to my face, but I get the feeling that he doesn't like me much, and of course, he is protective of his little sister Samira.

And I'm 100% sure Sharan has kept bodyguards behind her 24/7, though he denies it in front of Mira. But everyone knows that Mira hates all this, so they tail her covertly and report about her to Sharan. He is going to lecture me or maybe even threaten me and beat me up when he learns about our relationship. (Of course, all this is just a possibility right now because Mira still has not agreed with the plan.)

I really hope she does.

And now I will even have to find the solution to Sharan's problem.

"Oh, then call all our friends for the planning at my place this weekend," I said to Shiv, taking a sip of my tea.

He hummed so in to say that he agrees with me.

I think it's going to be a bit tough to execute this plan now, and I hope it will be worth all this pain in the end, but first, for the plan to even start, I need the green signal from Mira.

Why is she not replying back? This is the first time Mira has made me wait this long because, in the past, she would always say yes or agree to help me with anything in a breath.

Is she thinking of not agreeing?

Fuck! What am I going to do if she doesn't agree?

Think, Aarush, think!

My phone vibrates. I hurriedly checked my phone and saw the text for what I was eagerly waiting for, and I had a big smile on my face after reading the text.

💬 "Ok, I am on for the plan"

Yes! I succeeded. Now it's time to execute my plan. This time, I won't let this opportunity pass and let her go that easily. I will do my best to woo her.

Aditi, my love, here I come...
