'So who's ready for story time?' I wrote on my notepad.

"Me, me, I am!" Said my grandchildren Zak and James. So I quickly scribbled on my notepad.

'Okay, so I will finally tell you why I can't speak.' And I started writing down paragraphs after paragraphs of my life story.

'So it all began when I was about as small as you are now, and my parents and I were going to the hospital to visit my grandpa before he got brain surgery, but before we could make it there, somebody rammed their truck into the side of our car but closer to the front. It killed the driver which was my mom instantly, while pushing our car into a streetlight severely injuring my dad. As that's happening glass is shattering everywhere around us, just then one shard of the glass comes flying my way. It hits my throat cutting into it but not hitting any major arteries, blood spills everywhere.'

"Woah, did you survive?" My grandson James asked sounding very concerned.

'No I died, then and there. That's totally why I'm writing you a story right now' I added trying to put as much sarcasm in as I possibly could.

"Okay then continue, I want to know more about the blood!" Zak excitedly said.

'The paramedics arrived on scene a few minutes later, as my dad is barely breathing. They helped us all out of the smothered car, checking our health soon after. After one paramedic checked my mom, he yelled "dead", and as soon as I heard that my heart started racing faster than before just knowing that she was gone. My dad and I were pulled into an ambulance, and we were both hooked up to a medical machine. Before we got to the hospital my dads machine flat lined, meaning he died. But the paramedics tried to help him, they tried to start his heart again, but it didn't work. Now I was their only problem, we got into the hospital and nurses and doctors started crowding me as they push my stretcher to the surgery room. Before we made it there I had blacked out.'

"Oh my gosh, what did they do to you in there?" Zak asked

'I don't know, but they saved me, at least most of me.' I wrote on my last page on the notepad I had in my hand.
