Her name is Izumi Akiyama. Growing up, the only people she was close to were her parents, but they're gone now. Evidently, they're working for the government.
A bit of explanation.
In the religion of Anodism, the goddess Deessa would bring about the end of times and take all of her followers with her. This actually happened. But most people don't know this. They are just aware of the apocalypse.
They were unable to restore society perfectly. It ended up a broken mess. Everyone was equally hated, but superhumans especially. Izumi is one of them.
She thought everyone had powers. On her 5th birthday however, her parents told she was alone in that respect. They told her to hide her powers. She misunderstood. She tried 'dumping' her powers in the closet, but they meant she simply should not use them.
Now Izumi is fifteen years old. Her parents were either taken by the government or killed.
